My rent going up $200 a month is what motivated me to buy a house. My mortgage is still lower than what my rent would have been at the time.

Admittedly , i got a bit fed up of the lady wanting to think about it , but after seeing their joy at finally closing on a home they love , it all worked out fine. I really think they have made a fabulous choice and they are very happy.

When they hugged each other, tearfully overjoyed, that really got me. This isn’t just an investment. This is a Home where they can make memories and raise their family. Reminds me of the feeling when my husband and I bought our first home. Two years later we love it every day. I hope they enjoy many happy years there!

Rates are still historically low. I know under 3% was awesome. The good news is sellers are willing to help with closing assistance now. And no crazy overpriced offers. Less competition is a real bonus.
I'm in the process of getting my real estate license now, this couple re-affirms my hope that I can represent first time home buyers!! Such a special process and you really can make dreams come true for people who work hard and deserve it

Even though this was released 6 years ago I really enjoyed this couple. They were down to earth, stuck with their budget and made the best decision for them as a couple.
I recently talked to them. They are still happy in their home.

The price of homes is crazy. Particularly the renting.
The real estate market is always changing. Interest rates are super low. But there is no inventory. So it's driving pricing up. For sale and rent.
Great episode - why didn't they go through any first time home buyers assistance programs to assist with down payment and using their money for closing cost...
The grant programs have income limits. They were over the limits.

This is exactly what you shouldn't do. They are buying a large house when all they need is a small condo, are overreaxhing and are at risk of looaing their investment if something goes downhill later in life
If you have to borrow 🤔 it isn't for you! Get what you can afford, it'll save you in the end! I would honestly go in bidding low. Honestlyit's a long process when it comes to finding that perfect home. Just don't give up and end up getting what you don't want all because you got tired of looking

It's now 2018. (IGNORE IF YOU WISH) I keep track for my own reasons-basically-AGE! lol. #1 Back yard doesn't feel like a true back yard. NEIGHBORS EVERY DIRECTION! NO TUB! I'd say OUT--- especially for 2014 or earlier.
#2 I, personally, like it all. Not about me. I'm LOVING THE REALTOR AT THIS POINT!
AWE! I just realized i'm not watching "HOUSE HUNTERS" as I usually do. (hoping I can say that). I'm on AUTO PLAY! This is interesting. YES, just like REAL LIFE! (unfortunately).
Now #3 I like it (not as much as #2). It's kind of annoying because it's nearing the end of video and seems like this is going to be THE ONE, obviously. There's just no guessing involved. Which, who cares, for potential buyers or realtors, but for viewers, like me, unless a surprise ending-it just spoils the outcome.

It is no nice to see a normal house hunt instead of insane mega mansions.
Nicest guy, most indecisive woman and it's worrisome that they couldn't even scrape 6 grand together without borrowing from people. I hope they make it, being able to save is an important life skill for those bumps in the road i.e. taxes, insurance, car repairs, illnesses, etc. It's never good going into buying a home on borrowed money.
