Mom is a sweetheart and despite their differences, it's obvious the son loves her.Realtor was very good. Very good episode.

if I was giving a seminar in mothers who need to be instructed in how not to be overbearing, I could use this as a video: spot the moments when mom is acting more like a wife than a parent. Hint for the slow: Every time the mother says 'we' when she's not actually moving in with her son.
His relationship with his mother has nothing to do with looking for a homes she still needs to respect him and his boundries

What's wrong with this guy... I can't afford it without roommates. He makes $200,000 a year and the mortgage payments are only $2404. He should be able to afford that on his own and if he really can't then he shouldn't be buying such a pricey first home.

I'm very concerned that no one is advising him that it isn't a good idea to rely on others for HIS mortgage. Life gets in the way and things can go sideways quickly.
Maybe I'm "old school" but I think if you can't afford your house without getting roommates, you can't afford the house. Lower your expectations.
Been thinking ...why every mom always has the same attitude?always been so demanding ...talking about how the way they treat their kids...overpowering kids needs..seems like we are still a little kid...its time for us to feel free for being a grown up man

What's the point of buying a huge family house which you can't afford and which you'll be paying for for years and years after if you aren't planning to have your future family there? This house will remain a bachelor one for a few years more and then he'll regret for rejecting all the family oriented areas, schools and kindergartens nearby and so on
