I wore makeup when I was younger but I never wear it now, Lynn. I can’t believe how much time and money some ladies spend on face products. But it makes them happy, so that’s the main thing. You always look lovely with the minimal amount of makeup that you usually use. I’m like you, I can wake up in the morning and have marks on my hands or arms. The things that happen to our bodies as we age. You and Joanne look gorgeous in your outfits. Hope you had a wonderful night out girl.❤❤❤
I know, some ladies spend a fortune, and have so much that they can’t possibly use it all. My marks are due to medication Sue, but I have to live with it so hey ho. We had a wonderful time thank you ❤️🎄❤️

I love your make up beautiful. I'm 71 and always wore makeup never heavy but for this Christmas I fancied a red lipstick. I have had a busy day out today grandchildren nativity and wore my red shade lipstick. Do what makes you happy. Everyone else are too wrapped up in themselves. Love and best wishes ❤

Hey beautiful friend, Loved the video. You and Joanne both looked so beautiful. I hope you both had a wonderful time. So you are really pleased with the jones road foundation? I can tell you, it looked beautiful on you at least on screen. Your eyes came out so pretty. This is definitely that time of year to have fun and go out with some good friends and just let loose for a change. That necklace looked perfect with that top and earrings. I'm sure you used your dialect perfume. Well yesterday was such a long day. Poor Donald was a mess. He was so hungry and miserable and very tired. He was suppose to be there for 10 a.m. and when we walked in, there were so many people, we knew it was going to be late. I felt so bad for him. Everyone in there was complaining about how they seemed to have over booked and had way too many people waiting for either a colonoscopy or endoscopy. They didn't call him back there till 12:30 and then he waited back there for almost another hour. We didn't get home till around 3 in the afternoon. They did find 3 polyps, that they removed, other than that, it was good. He has to go back in 5 years. Then when we got home, I couldn't get my keyboard to work. So as much as I didn't feel like it, I had to go out and find another keyboard so I could use my computer. It's working pretty good now. So tomorrow I have a lot of housework to catch up on. I also have a lot of laundry to do. Yeah, this time of year, sucks for me. But we'll be fine. A few days after Christmas, is my birthday so not sure what we are going to do. We really can't go out anywhere, but we may order out for some food for that night. No sweets either, maybe I'll pick me up a birthday cupcake. We can share that, it won't be so bad for him to have a little piece of that. The kitties missed us so much, they are not used of us being gone together like that for so long. They both hung on me all day today. I couldn't make a move without them being right there. It was so cute. They both even slept on me when I sat down. I bet you are super busy these days aren't you? How is Joanne feeling lately? I hope she can figure out what foods to start avoiding so she can start to feel a lot better. She's such a beautiful young lady. Hello my friend, thank you so much. It’s so nice to dress up now and again, and go all out, it makes us feel good. We had a really nice time, the food wasn’t that great, and the venue could have done with a lick of paint, but that said we had so much fun, Jo is hilarious, she had me in stitches with her shenanigans. I do like the Jones Road foundation, it doesn’t sit in my creases lol, and I felt so nice in the outfit. The top was a last minute purchase for me, and I’m so glad I found it. I probably won’t get a lot of wear out of it except for Xmas and maybe holidays, but I’m ok with that. It’s the same over here Donna, you turn up at your appointment time, and the waiting room is full, I’m sure they book everyone in at the same time. It’s very good news about the polyps though, that is such a relief. Poor Donald must have been ravenous bless him. Oh and the kitties missing their mamma all day, how sweet of them to be hanging on to you like that. They obviously love you to bits. Oh dear, the keyboard, there’s always something isn’t there. So glad that you’re sorted out now though, you can relax knowing that you have a brand new one. A woman’s work is never done is it, I’m the same here. I don’t think I’m going to be able to do 3 videos per week over Christmas, I just haven’t got the time. I’m having Ida for a sleep over today and she’ll be here all day tomorrow, all I can do is try my best and if I can’t manage all the videos I’m sure people will understand. Joanne is still at the stage where she has to cut everything on the list put, she hasn’t reached her 12 weeks yet, and then she has to introduce foods one at a time, but her tummy is so much better now, so it’s definitely food related. Hi Lynn, glad to see you are out having fun, and with your lovely daughter too! When I was working I got made up every day as it made me look much better. It took no time at all. Once retired, it is a shame that we get out of the habit, but I find that I feel much better when I have make up on. I even get my face on to try on new clothes at home! You mentioned that you did not like the feel of heavy foundation, so you may like to try Laura Gellar Balance and Brighten, or the Balance and Glow. It is a baked foundation so goes on like a powder bur covers like a liquid foundation, but not too heavy. It is so easy to do, you can apply it without a mirror, just a whizz around your face with the brush! Some people have been know to whizz around the face while waiting for the traffic lights to change! I use the Medium shade but you may need a shade lighter. I have used it for years. If you watch CarolineMrsM’s channel she tried it. I knew she would not like it, as she is used to heavier foundations, and the LG one you cannot feel it on. There are some videos on QVC. By the way I had not realised how much a fringe suits you!
Aw we had a fabulous time Hazel. I was the same when I was working, but then during Covid, I just stopped wearing it. I must admit I do feel better if I have some makeup on, just not too heavy. I’ve just bought the Jones Road, and it’s not cheap so I need to use it, but I will try the Laura Geller Balance and brighten, it sounds just the ticket. I would probably get a pale shade to see if I like it, I could always darken it with some bronzer which I would need to buy. I do watch Caroline now and again but I haven’t seen that video. I’ve had a fringe for a lot of years now. I would like to grow it out, but every time I try I end up cutting it back in lol. 😂❤️🎄❤️
@ In the LG item there are two types - essentially the same but the Balance and Glow gives a slightly less matte look. Not shiny though. The Caroline video was a few months ago when she was demonstrating getting made up.
Stunning Lynn. you and your daughter are both beauties. I stopped wearing the makeup once I gave up work. now my eyes are failing so i use a 20x magnifying mirror! it is cruel. the size of my chin hairs look as if they could be back combed ! don’t know how we did it every day Lynn. just out of practice now I think. hope you had a great time. thanks for sharing. 🤓🎄
Hi Darcey, thank you. I know I’m the same, I use a magnifying mirror too, and they show up everything lol. Once of a day I wouldn’t even answer the door without my face on, but I just don’t like the feel,of it anymore, so I’ll be keeping most of it for special nights out. And I know what you mean about the hairs lol ❤️🎄❤️

It’s my daughter Kim, not my daughter in law, but yes we had a fab time thank you. I always wear lipstick, even in the house, and a pair of earrings, that’s enough for me on a daily basis, I couldn’t do a full face every day, it feels awful doesn’t it lol. Oh the joys of ageing eh. ❤️🎄❤️

@Nanna-M I know little Ida is only 3 and can't go out at night but I married at 17 and had my children when I was 19 and 21 so my grandchildren are old enough and the middle one, my daughters daughter who is 25 doesn't mind me tagging along lol

You looked very nice , but , I think as you get older , less is more . I never wore foundation until a few years ago , I do now , as it hides blemishes & has sun protection even in the winter . Hope you had a good night out . 😘

Hi Lynn I think the make up suited you and you look lovely in that outfit. I hope you had a lovely evening out with your daughter I can’t believe how quickly Christmas is coming now. I do a lot of bowling I am playing today and tomorrow and Friday. Saturday we are travelling over to Leeds to see my family and drop off all the Christmas presents and that evening we are going to a quiz night at the bowling club. It’s hectic at the moment.

Lovely! If your skin is paler on your forehead it's obviously because you've got a fringe!!
I wear make up every day whether I'm at work or not - I do it because it makes ME feel good. I understand that feeling of being plastered so I use a powder foundation which doesn't give me that feeling at all.

In real life it didn’t look paler Debra, it must have been the light that made it look that way. I used to wear makeup every day before I retired, but since Covid when we weren’t allowed out, or allowed visitors, I kind got out of it. I tend to moisturise, wear blusher and lipstick most days, but on special occasions I like to make an effort. We should all do what makes us feel good, that’s what I think. Thank you Lynn that was lovely to watch your makeup was just right for a night out I envy you I can't do eyeliner . Now retired I don't do makeup everyday and when I'm going somewhere nice I have got out of practice so I have to take my time but feel great afterwards it cheers me up you both looked fabulous. A little tip with marks on your hands primer or concealer would just fade them a little. Hope you had a lovely time 🌹🐈Xxxx
Hi Rosa, this particular eyeliner just glides on so it’s not too bad. We need to feel glam now and again don’t we, but I couldn’t cope with all that on my face on a daily basis, it would drive me mad lol. Lipstick is the only thing I wear every day. Thank you for the tip Rosa, I will try that ❤️🎄❤️

You looked fab Lynn. For someone who doesn't use a lot of makeup you made a very professional job of it. I always use fingers as well, because if you use brushes you need to be really fastidious with cleaning them. Joanne looked gorgeous as well. If I had legs like hers I'd have them out ss well ha ha.❤🎄🥂💋
Well I used to use it all the time, I just can’t be bothered nowadays since I gave up work, but I do like to make an effort at special times. Jo gets the legs from her dad, they go on forever lol ❤️🎄❤️
Lyn you look so lovely with your make up on. I was like you I use to put a bit of lipstick on and go .Now I always have a bit of make up on if I don't put it on I look awful,I look sick. Thank you Susan, I may start to use foundation a bit more now that I’ve found one that I like, and I’ll keep the eyeshadow for those special occasions. We had a wonderful time with the girls ❤️🎄❤️
