Very nice job done showing the build. TH-cam had ya on que is how I found you so hope that helps ya know they did suggest ya. Ok weather is only giving me a short window today to work on my new greenhouse so I better get to it. Stay safe and warm up there!
At 10:23 it looks like you had to trim your poly panels because you made your base too wide. I wish you told us about this. Without the bottom of the poly panel overlapped the wind load rating will be reduced.
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this video. I’m a few weeks away from my kit arriving ( it looks like I got the exact same greenhouse- except mine is 32 feet long...) and it is nice to see exactly what is involved...sigh! Not for the faint of heart - but hopefully the expense and effort will be worth it in the end. Can I ask where you sourced your greenhouse tape from? I am also from Canada and try to avoid buying from the states if possible as the exchange rate, shipping and duties really add to the overall expense of what ever you buy. Thanks again for putting this out - I hope you have a wonderful growing season!
Oh how exciting! 32 feet long will definitely get you a lot of plants! Yes, it was a lot of work, but well worth it once its finished. I got the greenhouse tape from a local commercial greenhouse supplier called GGS Structures. I just called and asked if they'd sell me some 😄, but I'm not sure if they normally sell to the general public. Worth a try though! Thanks for stopping by and wish you a wonderful growing season as well!
Thanks! I am thinking that a greenhouse build is a bit like child birth - difficult, painful and overwhelming- but hopefully worth it in the end. And on the bright side? At least Greenhouse can never turn into a teenager - at least that is my hope 😁.
I have a few questions! I am getting the Sigma 20 and also plan to use a 6x6 wood base. Did you anchor your 6x6's to the ground? How did you anchor the greenhouse to the 6x6's? Do you live in a windy area? We often get winds up to 70kph and the odd time up to 90. Thanks for your help!
I didn’t anchor the 6x6s to the ground, but I did connect them to each other. I used L brackets to attach the frame to the base and so far so good. It has shifted a bit on a few really windy days, but I’m not concerned with it moving any farther than that. It’s really heavy! I have had some windy days but I didn’t check the wind speed. We do get high winds though. Once I’ve had it a bit longer and seen how it holds up in those high winds I’ll put up a video and share my overall experience with this greenhouse :)
Hi neighbour!. Thanks for the hint on using L brackets. Makes sense. Wondering how the finished dimensions of the greenhouse compared to what the producers claim? I thought I read somewhere, that supplied information was inaccurate. Thanks again. I guess i should subscribe.
Thanks! I added a few extra steps beyond what the kit suggested, like sealing the edges with greenhouse tape, and securing the panels with extra screws. Other than that I'm happy with it so far! After I've had it for the winter I'm sure I'll have more ideas :)
I am building the same greenhouse right now. Lots of screws for sure. Can’t wait.

Thanks for the kind words :) I know what you mean about the weather. As long as there is some sun I'm out in my greenhouse!
Just built the sungrow 32. Do you have any recommendations for irrigation systems?

Didn’t you bolt down the greenhouse to the wood base? That was missed on this journey

I would love to know what you would do differently or are there any changes you would make now that it is done. It's so cozy and cute 😊
