Up to that point, Corden was successful at portraying Mr. "Nice" guy...all because so many never called him out on his crappy self absorbed attitude behind the scenes. Patrick called him out on it in such a public way, because he had just done shown his true self a few moments before. Corden was an ass and needed taken down a peg or ten. Belly joke only happened because Corden didn't like to be called out and like the bully he is, got in Patrick's face. Personally, thought Patrick showed much class and restraint.
Don't you just wish that it was Corden who got the slap off Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars ceremony rather than Chris Rock?

I’ve met a few people who worked with the late Roger Moore and you’ll have trouble finding anyone with a bad word to say about him. This is because unlike Corden he took the time and trouble to get to know everyone on set, never used his status to do things like jump the queue in the canteen, never forgot anyone’s name nor talked down to them. A proper gentleman. Corden would do well to take a leaf out of his book. He’s still got time to do this before he totally disappears up his arse.
Roger Moore was class. One of the few celebrities I'd actually liked to have met. Very honest and interesting and down to earth.

@@phuckweedI can attest to the virtues of Roger Moore ; back in 2012 I actually saw him - 'An evening with Roger Moore' ; on the stage for two hours, he was interviewd about his life by his P A ,Gareth Owen. The conversation and anecdotes flowed freely; the floor was then open for a Q and A session. He answered each question with grace, humility - and often ,humour. In a full house ,he was given a standing ovation - his wife and daughter were also in the audience -they were deeply moved.
I'm so pleased that I attended.Such a wonderful man .
I saw Roger Moore about 20 years ago walking through Cavendish Square near Oxford street. I was outside chatting to a few work mates. It was slightly raining and he had his umbrella up wearing a very smart suit. For a second I thought of saying hello but I didn't want to disturb his day.

I worked at the Adelphi Theatre in London when James Cordon was in "One Man, Two Guvnors". One evening during the show as I was passing under the stage, James and and some of his co-actors were there waiting for their scene. James decided it would be funny to embarrass me in front of the other actors by patting my bottom as I walked past and saying something along the lines of "off you go little fella". The other actors found it funny and I was left furious. If I were a woman, it would have been sexual harassment. I complained to my boss and the situation was "resolved" when James' supposed apology was relayed to me by the company manager. Prick!
He’s not a comedian but no one told him. Stealing Ricky gervais joke thinking he’d get away with that is an embarrassment.

I feel like I’ve seen this video before? I’m surprised Frankie Boyle is on the list. I didn’t think Matthew Horne ‘hated’ James Corden. I thought I’d read that they got on well at the filming of the recent Gavin & Stacey Christmas special. There might have been a point where James didn’t know the names of his crew but he 100% knows all of the ones who work on Late Late Show and regularly has ‘banter’ with them. Some might say that’s less about them and more of a cynical attempt to prove anyone wrong who says he doesn’t know his staff.
