Thank you as always. I will be buying two of these when I do my annual Chanel restock. As you said, Chanel does not have a great history of creating blush for deeper skin tones, but these are absolutely perfect! This is the second video that i have watched on this, and both of you advised the same thing concerning brushes. Excited for this, the new Dior stick and the New ND Palette, which is also another brand that's not been great catering for the deep end but finally has given an offering that I will get full use of.
Thanks for a comprehensive video Jen! And swatching old Chanel shades. I absolutely love this formula and shades so had to get all 5 from my SA. Hope they launch more shades. These have a radiance to it yet they are blurring. Stunning.
Thanks for mentioning the synthetic fluorphlogopite. I well and truly hate it. In my experience, that ingredient lights up in outdoor lighting/sunshine, where I spend most of my time. Normally it’s like iridescent rainbow in color, and I hate that flashing across my cheeks at 9am.
Golden Sun! My favorite blush of all time. I currently have the old version and I went through 2 of the oldest versions. Why Chanel? Why? I agree, the oldest were the best powder formula, then the old. The smoothness, the smell and the luminosity! It used to be a luxurious experience in every way, I am glad the new ones are good. I will give Chanel blushes one more try.
Your review was spot on, these blushes are great. My local Macy’s had them and I picked up Beige Ecletant and Rose Radiance. Wearing Beige for the first time today and, on me, it’s more orange and brown than beige. If anyone is interested in getting these from Macy’s they’re included in the 15% off promo they’re currently running.
Huge review! 👌🍸 Love the historical swatches. ❤ How do the new ones look on texture, pores/lines? I never tried some of these older formulas, but mine are even more ancient 😂. I bought Chanel blushes in the late 90s and didn't need to buy blush for 25 years. Still got them, those old talc blushes don't go bad. The beige/brown shades really were so beautiful, I see those coming back next. When people get tired of the bright candy colors.

I do hope Chanel give us more shades in this formula. I'd love some cooler toned nudes, a mauve & some pinks.
Appreciate you mentioning the fluoroblahblah 😂 ingredient, as I have learned that it’s the main ingredient in the shiny/shimmer/sparking shade in each of the YSL quads…and it’s literally the only ingredient that has caused a reaction in me-I had to go to Urgicare because my eyes were so swollen and it created a stye. Shame that other houses are replacing talc with that ingredient, because while it looks gorgeous, I literally can’t. 😅 Thanks for the thorough review, as always, Happy Friday! ❤

I got the Rose Radiant and was blow away. I'm not a chanel girl traditionally but some of the releases over the last 2 yrs have really caught my eye. I think I'll add more of them to my collection. I just love how easy and beautiful they look on ❤
Rose Ecrin was/is my most favorite blush of all time! It flattered my complexion impeccably. I am still reeling that they discontinued it - without even a hint of a warning... or I would've stocked up. Which new blush is the closest? It looked like it might be in between Rose Radiant & Beige Eclatant.. thoughts?? Is it anywhere near Rose Ardent? That was the one I was considering picking up, but now I'm not sure. Any help would be much appreciated!

I have franc and ardent and love both! I’m a very fair green eyed brunette neutral skin. I love them both even the red looks good. I don’t notice any smell at all. but now I want the beige!! I thought they were going to be more expensive I’m glad they r not $70. I thought that’s what they were going to be.

Your pricing comment is in line with what I was thinking when I saw the price of the new Dior stick foundation. That's in the $50 range too. Maybe they decided to start actually Selling makeup again. Although they just released another $200 lipstick in matte. So still a crazy uncle in the attic. Pretty colors. I'm going to wait for the annual Hourglass palette before I buy any blush now. I am having a good laugh, because you just stated: “very interesting that these are (only!) $52” 😅 The shades of these new blushes are classic (and indeed for once, there’s a shade for deep skin tones). I thank you for the thorough review, including arm swatches, multiple comparisons with Chanel’s other single blushes. Glad to know you like these new blushes and that they are more pigmented than the powder blushes. I plan on getting Beige éclatant and Rose ardent to start with. Thanks again!

Great review Jennifer, so it’s funny that when I heard price, I was like oh that’s cheap, well all the LE blushes m that we had this year, was Moore expensive. So it could be because it’s not LE so they wasn’t sure if ppl are going jump to pick up. So they might testing waters, before they hitting us with crazy price😜 also considering bad economy, it’s really not so much ppl are buying these days. You know I am in the process changing my style from Chanel to old Celine, etc… and even a few months ago,I was selling well. Now it’s dead, everybody dropping prices. I can’t wait to see spending reports, I believe that will solidify who the real Prez is 😜😝🙏 I love all blushes on you. And you know the red one, that I was the most excited about, but after watching a few reviews ,ii am not so sure. Still going to get it, it might will look different on my warm tone skin. The one that I really getting is the baby pink- Rose Ardent, even being cooler,I think it’s the most beautiful shade. Have a blessed day🙏❤️
You must be hyper hyper sensitive because I went in to re smell the Chanel blush and can’t hardly smell anything unless I cram it up to my nostrils. I then opened up my Dior and 10 others I didn’t smell much there either light but nothing overwhelming
Did you smell a tester or did you buy ones and open them? The testers don’t smell at all I’m starting to think there were multiple batches. Some smell very strong and others apparently do not
I need to go eBay shopping to look for old Chanel to wear. I have no problem wearing older versions. Recycle reuse. I'm not from California where everything has a warning ⚠️ sign.

I think it’s like silica. I have seen a lot with out talc using that -and that’s what ruined my beloved Givenchy powder. I’m surprised you haven’t talked on that. Yeah s2 shades 1 & 4 seem matte. The others. My shade. Ruined ! I’m angry 😠 also these are different for Chanel. Kinda like that. I love shades 1 and 2 I may add these ❤ SORRY TO BE SALTY. ❤didn’t mean too it really seems the luxury companies are pulling in the younger crowds with the new things. Colors etc
As a MUA u should know that blushes have shelf life. I’ve worked for Chanel for over 25 years. Not sure why u keep testers from way back since they harbor bacteria?
@@yvonnehogue-ib2lo as a former MUA I know that very well. And actually I’ve had them swatched and tested… no bacteria. And yes I’ve made it clear many many times that everything has a shelf life.
I prefer very pigmented, that way I can choose the intensity. even the Brights, I know that's not like nail polish. I guess Brands they go with what sells and most of the market it's cautious, demure😶🌫
Very happy to know that they have the scent of the original blushes because I love it every time I pick one up, the first thing I do is smell it!!🥰😍

The blushes in the pot are like a balm more than a cream. The new blushes are like a dry soft cream. Rose radiant is my favourite.

The old formula had silk as an ingredient. The new ones don’t. I think that was the magic ingredient

Id say all of them will work except maybe the beige eclatant would be a little too warm depending on what you like.
