You built it to last and your finish work was excellent. And I have horror stories about the work done on my house! Good to know there are people out there who still take pride in their work.

It is first class. It's very well built. The ties that connect the inside joists to the deck joist blew my mind! I've never seen that before. The choice to use abs plastic on the kick plates is wise. Abs is easy to keep clean, and it stays vibrant white like that pretty much forever... the way he 45 the ends of the deck boards to use another deck board as a end cap is friggin genius! I watch a lot of construction videos and this is definitely top notch build quality.

Talk about adding curb appeal (literally at the curb) … the house looked fresh and lovely before, but that deck put it way over the top.
If this isn’t YOUR home, kudos to you for taking the time and doing all that extra to ensure that this lovely porch outlasts us all.
Best is - it’s maintenance free

Haha yes! I knew that would bother some people. It bothered me after realizing i didn’t film removing it. I might make a dedicated video about removing stickers like that, I have no idea why they put them on a surface that might be seen! Put the tag on the side with a staple, like a 2x4 has. Anyway, yes, a little goof off and it was gone! Thanks for checking out the video!

This is a great instructive video. Workmanship is top notch. What is really amazing is seeing all of the facets of this project come together in the PROPER sequence which is essential to getting it done in a timely manner. Many homeowners (including me) have had the DIY experience of missing a step on a project and having to back and do a redo. Nothing I hate more than rework. Thank you for sharing your work.
Just a request if possible: It would be great if you would post the list of materials you used for this project including lumber sizes and fastener details. Thanks.
