Never seen Hercules or even knew about it. t he song to me was the song of my heart - not some cartoon or Disney movie. i stayed up listening to htis song and seeking different versions. Came upon Anthony's version. Just bang on - so full, so rick, so powerful and so moving. I used to sing many years ago and then life struggles over took me. We live in a world where it is hard to make a come back in a "real" world. I have a romantic, dream vision that I know will never happen but I dream and fatasize that I can sng this song with the faith and trust of Anthony. I would like to go the distance andmake a difference. I want too...but the pain and scars are real. I love those stories where survivors come back and go a distance. I would love to help others to realize they can make a difference adn go the distance no matter what but I can't ust like I can no longer sing. Who would think one night praying in a chapel would leadto me being raped and abused by my bible college. I keep saying I could survive the rape but not how I was treated by my church. And now I am powerless, beaten and my voice figurativel and lieterally gone. But this song inspires me I wish I could share this as the song of my heart. I truly am inspired. I admit every few years I find a song that gives me a goose bumps and makes me dream and hope to be something more than I am or even think I could be. I know I will never sing this song on Earth but one day in Heaven. May you all go the distance.
