Abby and I weren't expecting much when we plugged this battery in for our first testing, but it really blew us away with how much kick it has, and even a really solid run time! This small 4x4 Monster Truck has working headlights (though they might need a slight modification) a wheely bar to keep it's front end down on quick take offs, and just seems to own wherever it's bashing! We couldn't be happier with this little guy, and it comes in at a really great price too!

MOST AWESOME little RC EVER!! In 2018 I was a TH-cam noob so I bought one and gifted it. Then I bought another one and the WHEELIE BAR was snapped clean off upon arrival!! Tried to buy another one but no luck, so I bought the 20404 (same chassis and innards,just different body shell) and smashed it into this guy 20409!! It's NOW March 31, 2022 and I JUST found the goofy battery on eBay and bought TWO!! SOOO THANKS SAYLORS for ALL of your videos thru the years!! Just wondering if you'll see my comment that was 4 YEARS late!! 💟👍😘
Awesome little truck. Quick, fast, controllable, and durable. It was fun just watching you two have a blast testing this one out.

This is pretty awesome. I am a fan of the WLtoys. Everytime I see a wheelie bar I get excited , you know what wheelie bars mean?? Yes! WHEELIES!!

Anything that comes stock with a wheelie bar you know its going to be fast lol even if its brushed! I bet you could retro fit some bigger tires on it and really have some fun as it seems to be able to handle it! Keep up the great videos, you all rock!

What an awesome little R/C truck!!! Speedy little guy, and reasonably durable to boot (well, except for those headlights becoming dislodged -- but you guys did beat the living tweedle out of the truck, so I guess that's forgivable.)
Well said :) I'll try and get a better glue system going for those headlights as they are definitely worth keeping. We love when trucks come with them already installed :)

You two had too much fun with that one. It does take a surprising amount of punishment for such a small, inexpensive RC truck.

I'm surprised at how fast it is, and how much power it has as well. Put a slightly bigger MaH battery in it, and see if you can get some more power out of it.

I just ordered this truck today I'm soooo stoked to get it!! It's quick but I'm gonna figure out a brushless conversion for it considering it runs a 370 1/18th scale motor. Sweet video guys!

Happy to hear that Richard :) This hobby is all about fun! We like his channel too :) Not super family friendly, so we don't really mention in our videos though :/
Surprisingly fast and stable for it's size. Would have been interesting to put the GPS speed checker on it. WLToys makes some of the best "toy grade" stuff out there I think, and they always have replacement parts available so when you break something it's not trash bin fodder like so many other companies products.
After seeing bins full of those dud vehicles at Good Will that got donated with garbage steering this little guy is amazing! Once again WL Toys shows they can make decent smaller RC vehicles. Abby has so much fun with those little guys! Something for my Grandson! Does the remote have anyway to slow it down, any adjustments like Dromida has? Its very durable.

Sorry I forgot the address your question about slowing it down with trim. I just went to check it and it does have the throttle trim knob on the Tx ;)
TheRcSaylors Thats great! My Dromida truggy has that. I let the neighbor hood boys try it but really turned it down . Dollar for dollar, I would go for the WL Toys as they do usually offer replacement parts for their RC Stuff. I think it will only be a few more years and WL will be up there with the big dogs as far as RC, in my book, they are pretty much there already.
I've said this before and I'll say it again - Abby is greasy-smooth on that throttle. Solid skillz, yo!

This one the 20409 you reviewed is actually the 1/20th desert buggy version, they do make a monster truck version and a truggy version called the 20402 and 20404. They both have wheelie bars and are the same speed more or less and can do wheelies however the version you tested from what I've watched seems to be the best handling and road holing from the bunch which is very important from a car this small. Looks like a tonn of fun :)

Yeah this is definitely faster than the 12428 :) Or at least seems faster because of the smaller scale ;)
it stood up well to all the tumbles, and looks to be a fun little buggy. the aluminum parts and light weight probably saved it. You also get a all body work out from all the laughing you will be doing.
