Short shelf life songs are great. I have a song about Desert Storm that I still bring out now and then, just to say "told ya so". Sadly, it still is "One Helluva Storm", so it remains semi-pertinent.
Wow! Song has a little bit of everything! Fact, fiction--my favorite is the writer imagining somehow Arlo and Donald playing in the same sandbox back in the day. Woody was a white guy, so he could rent from The Donald's dad--and who knows maybe he got a fair deal on his apartment! I do love Grimm's conclusion though--say no to Greed AND to the Christian Right. Strange bedfellows indeed! And the music is fun.
