In My Life - Ellen Andersson (The Beatles Cover)

Don’t come for my plucking hahaah. I’m an amateur okay, I’m trying!!
Anyways, as you can see… I’m moving out!!! In THREE days! I’m packing up my apartment into boxes and I’m moving from my small hometown to Stockholm! My goal is to go back to Chicago, but I’m glad I’m at least making my way out of here. And I’ve never lived in Stockholm, so I’m excited to try something new.
I thought this song was kind of fitting for this occasion in a way. I know it is actually about a person, but I think it can be about a place as well. I think of Chicago all the time, and I’ll never forget the city even as I move on to live in other places. Super sad and super exciting at the same time. The first verse is just so beautifully written! I love the feel of nostalgia and moving on.
So yeah, here it is! I tried to cover this for like three hours, and this is the closest thing I got to a good take 😫 I’m too much of a perfectionist and I really want to be happy with the covers I post!!! But for some reason this was ridiculously hard to cover :( I hope you enjoy anyway!
