If you use torches and get turned around, you wont know if you're coming or going. I use Jack-o-lanterns and face them in the direction back to the portal so I know if I see the Jack-o-lantern, it's facing the way I need to go.
Or just always put torches on the right side so when you go back you follow them on the left. Idk how to explain more but you put them on the right side when u go into a cave then you know you follow the ones on the left side for your personal way back

You would know because the trail stops in the direction that is away from the portal. If you were to be turned away you can find the end of the trail of torches

Mushroom stew... How many times have you watched a let's play and the person runs out of food. There are mushrooms scattered around the nether and all you need is a bowl. No need to starve there.
Already set up my Library and moved my Villagers to the End, and have expanded the basement for a storage perimeter. I should be sitting pretty sweet by then.
To be honest what scares me in the Nether is the damn baby Pigman, every time I'm mining they seem to constantly just jump in my way trying to start a war 👀
If you swing and hit them, they will aggro on you, but if you are mining and you are holding your mouse button down for rapid mining, you can never hit them with a pickaxe or shovel, even if they run right in front of you.
A tip for you Chad if you didn't know, instead of digging down in stairs shape you can stand in the middle of two blocks horizontally and dig down two by two on each side so you can see what's underneath you. It's a good way of keeping the way lit without torches in day or lava light but harder to get back up
4:50 you need blaze power to fuel the brewing stand, so even if you steal one from a village you won't really have any potions before you go into the nether...
@@quix200 I think the main question remains unasked: How early do you wish to risk going to the nether, and how cautious are you? It's advised to be well equipped, but it's always a player's choice how they approach the game; that's the beauty of Minecraft.
@@thisiskt9210 the only thing that can kill me in he nether is blazes as they set you on fire. So I just get 2 blaze rods to make a fire resistance potion and fighting blazes becomes so much easier.
@@quix200 I have fallen to my death because of a well aimed ghast blast removed the floor beneathe my feet... I have played so many hours I would have a hard time finding a way I didn't lose progress... If blazes are your bane, you probably bring a lot of blocks, arrows and shield I presume?
Lemme say u go to creative make a skeleton spawner let them spawn a thousand and then switch to survival. After that fight them with no armour but one shield only.Practise pvp and then results will show
Commands are not always available if you do not have Cheats Enabled in your world. 3rd party clients such as Chunkbase, can be an excellent tool for locating structure and features in your world if Commands are not available.

i'd say sandstone is without doubt the best block to build bridges and other stuff for exploration in the nether because it's the only block with a high enough blast resistance to survive ghast fireballs that can be easily insta mined in survival so you can get lots of it really quickly
suspicious stew is good only for challange like ultra hardcore for regeneration effect + your portal will spawn around 0 0 coords + wither skel are 2.5 block or sth like that

I died because of that and lost a pick axe which had Efficiency 5, Unbreaking 3 because it fell into lava... but whatever, Not that big of a deal but I never died in the nether before of this particular world so I was scared as duck that my items would be lost if I don’t collect them quick enough and there was lava surrounding the place so it was even more difficult...
if anyone wants to go beyond with some extra protection try protection 4 on your head chest and legs and fire protection 4 and feather falling 4 on boots all diamond gear. you can get all these enchantments by fishing :)

Other blocks that can be used instead of cobblestone include stone, stone brick, smooth stone, terracotta, brick, and neither brick. Unfortunately, sandstone, quartz and concrete are not viable. Also endstone blocks and purpur blocks. Also, I forgot andesite, diorite, granite and prismarine.

And yes; It was a very costly explosion, as most of them were armor sets with perfect enchantments, lol.

You may have to name-tag the bowls in an anvil, to keep them from getting mixed up and confused, lol. You wouldn't want to eat the wrong one, but living dangerously is always an option.

I recommend building your trail with cobblestone instead of torches, if a ghast shoots a fireball at your torch, you've lost your trail.
Honorable mention: splash water bottles can put out fires.
Can't make em without blase powder to fuel the brewing stands, gunpowder needs to get dissolved you know

A notch apple would be useful and much better than potions only problem being they are extremely rare.

Also, if you do accidentally hit a Pigman you can afk after building yourself in a wall and eventually they will become non-hostile again.

2. Fortresses are always over lava oceans, so look for lava oceans

There arent agressive mobs once you spawn in nether, UNLESS you spawn in soul sand valley...
Most of the time it's a creeper that's waiting on the wrong side of the portal that blows my gate out.
Yeah I had that problem, so I don't build my portals out in the open anymore.
I had that happen once and had to go a good ways to my blaze spawner where I had luckily stashed a flint and steel.
