    What a pleasure to be the featured agent in Warren and Julie’s video on house hunting in Montenegro. Looking forward to the next video with them featuring $100k properties in the area. Spent the morning getting the VIP tour of Porto Montenegro to see their latest developments and new amazing development with a world first fitness/health oriented hotel. Prices from 500k to $5m for anyone with a lust for luxury living. Maybe we’ll make a video on that too in the near future.

      Risan is also great value. I like their little daily green market and the best bread, Burek and ice cream can be found there too. Less than half the price of Perast. Just a little remote from the more popular destinations like the towns around Kotor: Muo, Prcanj, Dobrota.

    Hopefully you are aware that Montenegro is in the process of joining the EU (although it might still take a while) which ultimately means that they will be joining Schengen as well. After that the 90/180-rule for 3rd country citizens will be applicable in Montenegro as well....

    So you don't need the Apostille of Haguee for your documents?

    • @MontenegroRealEstate
      @MontenegroRealEstate 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends...
      From recollection, the only time you need an Apostille is when you are signing a document, such as a power of attorney, witnessed by a Notary. This then needs an apostille and the original sent to your proxy or the Notary. If you have a specific scenario, I’ll do my best to answer.

      Good question, I think long term yes. If you are exchanging dollars the rate of exchange is high currently, which could mean the prices are temporarily inflated.

    enjoyed watching this segment! i’m a big fan of you and julie, however was disappointed with the new apartments you featured! the layout is awkward in every suite, one master looked like the closet was a
    locker, if i was going to spend my money, i’d want to choose my own furnishings and finishes, one toilet was jammed in so tight between vanity and shower that i don’t think a person bigger than julie could fit there! and the countertop stove is right next to a cabinet, like real tight!

      @lucijakampic564 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markopetricevic8805 i hear you but i’m not talking about luxury living, just regular life in an apartment that the lay out is not so awkward. so if you are saying only luxury apartments have good floor plans, that is not not acceptable.

      I’ll debate this, there are some shabby unkept buildings that are not being maintained and literally crumbling around the owners. I’ll eventually due a video, but it’s important to know the building maintenance plan in a shared property before you buy.

      @@WarrenJulieTravel Thanks for your reply, I just see Montenegro as still a free place and the proposal of new regulations defeats the purpose of me moving there. If kept free, people can just decide to move to a nicer place if they want as well as avoid all of the other regulations that the first regulation inspired.

    Great video as always guys. In a way, Montenegro reminds me of Hawaii(however, Hawaii has the USA behind it). It's a beutifull place people with money go to retire, it's not a place you move to for work. It's a country of only 600,000, there are more Montenegrins living elsewhere than in their own country. The economy is based on tourism which Croatia found out is not such a great thing and many of the "investors" are Russian oligarchs, and that's putting it nicely. The counry is also about to default on a loan with China due to the "Fantasy Highway To Serbia", the most expensive per kilometer highway project ever. When it's done, the Chinese will own the country. We're still coming to visit next time we're in Serbia, it's just I'm not sure I would want to invest money there.

    No disrespect to you pls.
    The house on the alleged waikiki beach is cardboard slapped together.
    Cheap ikea recycled slap sticks if you can even call that furniture.
    Don't these ppl know how to build good vanities in their bathrooms, instead of those hospital looking bathrooms..cold look!
    I heard you say there was a clothes dryer, I don't see them anywhere in these homes, and those cheap mini front loader washers are no comparison to grt top loaders...why are they always in the bathroom?
    Now on to the beach and the bay, do tell pls. what waters are they?
    part of any sea or otherwise?
    Although not our cup of tea, the quality of your video always superb, and different locales are cool...we do think the bay and the outdoor space is btfl.
    As always thanks for sharing your adventures :D

      There isn’t an IKEA here, but the furniture is typical standard quality. Not all homes, furnishings will be for everyone. The building is actually pretty solid and built to modern codes so not sure why you think it’s otherwise. I provided a map in the beginning showing Kotor and the connection to the Adriatic, it a leg of the Mediterranean. Thanks for watching.
