That Yakuza dialogue was kind of weak for me, both of those two are SEGA's most story driven series, doing the "Story with a small sandbox" before all these big triple A companies were.
Hearing Shulk and Shion's names said within just a few seconds sounds so surreal to me. The main protagonists of Xenoblade and Xenosaga, respectively...
Everyone is forgetting something: They were all remembering their dearest persons in life. And out of all people, Ryo remembered a very special girl: Nozomi.
You can clearly tell multiple script writers and translators were working on this game at the same time. Some of them get lazy while others clearly put in effort... some times too much effort.
I never played the Shenmue games due to not having a Dreamcast, but Ryo comments & voice, sounds so relaxing and cute. The song is also very powerful and has a nice and relaxing feel to it. I should try to play this games.
+Molilno Nagonpi Shenmue 2 is on Xbox original (and works on 360) though the dreamcast version is better. But no they haven't been rereleased because Sega -_-

Or maybe Hiryu knows of his potential but refuses to teach him because he is still on a neutral point, and that potential still hasn't defined if it'll destroy his soul or strengthen it.

Considering how his style has evolved, it would be fun to use him in a VF game. He would like be a more accesible version of Akira, even though I think Ryo would lose the SPOD and have it replaced with something he learned from Shenmue 2 or 3. Among other small details. Akira would be more defensive, reversal oriented. Ryo would be more offensive and with more mix ups.
