Personally I feel speed runs in NG+ ruins the authenticity of a run. A part of routing a game should include where to get ammo, how to fight bosses with what equipment you have at that point and so on. I'm assuming this game has a NG category and I feel that's should be the main run for all games. Just my opinion.
For a marathon, NG+ is perhaps safer, since you don't rely on random ammo spawns, from what they said it's pretty much rng. Looking at the leaderboards, there isn't that much time between ng and ng+, about 4-6mins of difference. Haven't watched any ng any% runs, so I don't know how much harder they are though
>It's like playing a different game You know, that's why it's considered a different category? Often even different difficulties are separate categories. As well as there are different categories if you play on pc or console. www.speedrun.com/re7
Imagine speedrunning this game on New Game Madhouse lmao, you have to play the game with all the increasingly difficult bosses, but you don’t get any of the NG+ broken guns. Playing Madhouse casually was torture, and learning to speedrun it, even more so.
VCR's (videocassette recorders) are for recording stuff on a VHS tape from tv or other source. VHS players are for playing VHS tapes/cassettes. And I still have a VCR, VHS player and a lot of cassettes, I know what I'm talking about.
Yup, I'm sure. I have a VCR/DVD player combo (yes, VCR - with record function on VHS and no record on DVD), a dedicated VHS player (with no record function) and my grandma, who lives nearby has a VCR (VHS player with record function, so it's VCR)
If you want I can make a video about them on my channel, although I'd have to find them, since we haven't used them since... A long time. VCR/DVD I've last used in 2005, VHS player I've used last time in 2004, and last record on my grandma's VCR was in 2002... To be honest I don't know if I still have them. I know I still have VCR/DVD combo, but I bet the VHS player is still around somewhere in the garage.
What you call "spoilers," I call speedrunning The Lore
*HOW THE HELL CAN THEY NOT KNOW THE BEST LADDER SEQUENCE IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF GAMING.*
rubbers3 on the ship?
WHAT A THRILL
Who else is watching this as their first speedrun.
very cool run :)
3:14 and still no one ever figured this out

NG+ generally adds items to make the run faster which seems like one of the biggest goals when speed running.

rubbers3 -- You have a VHS "player" which has no record function? You sure about that?

The last thing anyone wants to see is a video by a teenager about their grandmother's 90s video tech.
RE 4 had a boat it was also no fun
Why this RE was so boring unlike 1, 2 and 3?
