I used to do these, and I did the first two Groundings in DC and Chicago, but damn... things have gotten much faster.
Seems fun but also makes PEVs look bad, you all are riding on the road as fast or faster than cars, but not respecting the stop signs or red lights aswell as other laws. PEVs are getting banned in more and more places recently and i wouldnt doubt its because of stuff like this ruining it for others.
If you can ride a regular unicycle then this electric unicycle will be easy for you to learn and you will throw away that regular unicycle, trust me I did that.
Looks like a ton of fun, my only problem with it is all the traffic laws being broken. In a time when laws are just being written across the globe surrounding EUCs, if you ride like a dangerous biker gang, then lawmakers point to videos like this and create laws to prevent anyone from riding. Tickets are being handed out all over the place with ridiculous charges. Just like racing cars, you have to take it to the track. Glad to see everyone was safe and no injuries, awesome skill and ride. Don't get me wrong, their should be a police escort for this awesomeness!!

Even my country certain provinces trying pilot programs for a year to see how it goes. Its ok to have fun but there is a place for that . I would like to see more and more EUC's on the roads, but when traffic laws are being violated like what I saw in this video, there will be more and more EUC restrictive laws written, and it will be because of lawless riders like these. If you would put your speedometer on screen to let us know exactly how fast your going it would give everyone lots of info about what’s possible/ safe when it comes to speed and turns. Hard to get a sense of what possible and what’s not safe in certain situations

We need to be aware of legislation. While road rage is the ultimate danger to a EUC, pissing off drivers who complain to their legislators comes in second. I am 80 years old and I have 3 EUCs. If the state decides I am too old to drive, I can still get groceries on a wheel. While I have an e-bike, I can't take that into a grocery store and the odds on having it stolen while parked aren't good. So, what we think of s fun is seen by many as bad behavior. In a world where interest groups without lobbyists have zero clout with legislators, we are an endangered species.
Im divided on this. Both thrilling to watch and disappointing to see you folks giving PEVs a bad rep😞. I have to lean more to having to keeping this kind of riding off the streets.

City streets are our proving grounds. Where else are city residents supposed to test their limits and grow? This isn't about playing it safe for a few critics, it's about pushing boundaries and inspiring others. Instead of focusing on the negative aspect of it, focus on the positive impact and the awe they inspire in many of those onlookers in the background videoing them.

Fair enough I never had a problem with the speed and we both know it takes skill to ride that fast and as much skill and intelligence not to go through red lights at the same speed . Apologies if I am mistaken the video appears you were going through the red lights. I am not referring to the right on red however even there it requires a stop before turning on right . Just saying you have to share the road with cars and if you want respect you need to show respect .
@@PEVPOV ha! I’m from the Bay Area. We do both. ;) AVS is SoCal. Bay Area is NorCal. ‘SoCal riders hit more of the mountain roads and Off-Roads. Bay Area riders are more mountain and street. Also, I was born and raised in NYC. Though we didn’t have EUCs back in the day we rode GSXR’s in and out of traffic to make up for it. 😜

Just bought my first EUC and I also promised myself to never ride like this. Im all for having fun and mobbing together, but some of this behavior is only going to increase bad tempers and aggression from other motorists on the road and increase regulation. PWM is a metric that shows the percentage of available power from the wheel. So at 66% I still have some headroom to go faster but if I hit 100% the wheel will turn off and drop me on my face

I actually tried it before this ride and I enjoyed it, it was very speedy but seemed heavy and now that the Sherman L is announced I wouldn’t consider GT pro+
I have the commander pro 50s but i think my wheel has a defect because when i fully charge my wheel to 100% the begode app says i have 126 miles of range when the wheel is laid down on its face but when i tilt it up to balance it says it only has 78 miles of range left at 100% and my battery drains quickly. do you have this same issue?
126 kilometers is equal to 78 miles so it's probably just the conversion applying when the wheel fully turns on when upright. And no my battery doesn't drain quick I get great range

How loud does it get in that Scorpion helmet at those speeds? did you have to wear ear plugs?
Not loud at all, no ear plugs required I can even convert the helmet to half face for more airflow since it is modular

Maybe they should focus on the groups of no license plate moped "migrant" riders that ignore all traffic laws first before targeting citizens
