    I've refilled my 1pound tanks for years. The last time I calculated the cost to refill one it was 50 cents. You might want to try that.

    👍 I'm going to have to watch the video with the 20lb propane tank. I remember half of it, forgot the other half. Blame it on age.

    I bought a little Buddy for indoor emergency heat. I keep the 1lb tanks in the garage which is unfinished and cold. Can I bring the cold tanks inside and hook them up or should I wait till the tank is warm? Also. Is there any problem putting a half used tank on? The manual says to remove tank when not in use. Does that mean if it’s going to be off for 6 hours and not in use, I should remove tank? Confusing to me. (I just bought a hose for the 20lb and same questions apply to that) thanks.

      Cold tank will be fine if the heater is going to be off a day or so take the tank off half tank is fine my 20 lb tank I never take it off I have the 20lb tank outside go through a window with the hose.

      @@Robinson-Homestead . Thanks. It’s simple for people who have used propane….but I’m not one of them. I don’t know a thing about it and I sure don’t want to do anything wrong. I’ve been in a gas explosion which split my house in two. That’s enough for me! Lol

    Is pilot flame supposed to stay on? First time using anything propane. ??

    If the tank isn't empty when taken off for several hours, should the rubber top be replaced?

    • @Robinson-Homestead
      @Robinson-Homestead  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Put the rubber back on to keep dirt out.

    Can I use it inside? I’m confused the instructions say to make sure area is ventilated??? It’s 20 degrees outside, my power is out. What’s the use of having on if I can’t use inside?

      Get a carbon monoxide detector.

    I know this is a stupid question but I don't know the answer so I'm asking. I have one I've never used but potential of a power outage and I have four of those bottles. Is it okay to leave one of them attached as long as the settings are on off?

    • @Robinson-Homestead

      @@laurenm6511 . I have the same questions. I’ve never used propane so I’m a bit leery not knowing the safest way to use it. Add to this, in 2006 my house exploded from a gas leak with me in it. I woke up at 7am to the smell of so much gas I think I saw waves. It was 13 degrees outside so the house was closed up. There was a leak at the shut off to the furnace, which was on the main floor cuz the house was built on a crawl space. I was walking to the front door, which my grandson opened just before I got there and the whole house exploded and split in two. I was lifted up and thrown across the living room slamming into the wall. My hair was burned off the back of head, eyebrows etc. we both miraculously survived. But since then, I really want to be sure I never experience anything like that again!

    Does one bottle (or 1 connection to a 20lb tank) work both sides of the heater?

    • @EnochLight
      @EnochLight 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes - 1 connection (either 1 pound or 20 pound) works both sides of the heater, meaning you can set it to High. A single 20 pound tank will last about 20 hours on High. Be warned: if you use a 20 pound tank with a hose, you must use Mr. Heater's hose accessory as it has a filter built-in. If you use an aftermarket hose, make sure you buy a propane filter or you'll gum up your Buddy Heater.
