I agree. Sydney are definitely favourites and I knew Essendon would lose but with the result I’m happy regardless to what people say. Essendon kicked 100 points on hawthorn last week and now 100 on Sydney in Sydney. i think this is finally the year Essendon win at least one final! FINALLY! still early but if the list stays healthy then I can’t see why Essendon can’t be a contender for finals footy. good game on display last night from both teams. maybe if Essendon had a few of there gun back line players in it might had been even closer.

Result was a bomber goal, 2 seconds later. I hope 2meter gets 4 or 5 week holiday . Bwad said they were gunna rough'em up. Good tuff game for both sides. Good contest between these 2 sides, as usual .
I am from the US and love me some footie. How can you not love 232 total points(over/under). Just with the highlights could be extended to accommodate these games. So may missed goals.
Channel 7 broadcast and WA viewers can’t watch it on 7 I get it if the Dockers or the Eagles are also playing at the same time as this Sydney game…but putting on Storage Wars and Pawn Stars for 3 hours instead of this game is messed up
Peter is a good guy and good guys make mistakes. i truely believe he was just going for the ball and in the last split second put in the pressure for the marker. Remember his 2 meters tall. it’s pretty easy for him to get someone high when running into a contest like that. You can tell he truly felt bad about the contact and even went upto swans after they gave it to him all game and apologised not just for being able to continue to play footy but to show his respects to a situation that happens a lot in footy as he seems genuinely concerned about the Swans players health. At the end of the day it’s footy and this stuff happens. Good game from both sides.

Swans and Bombers is continuing to be an entertaining rivalry every year, even with me hating Essendon more and more with how they try to play dirty against the Swans. Nonetheless, Heeney, Paps and the Chad were excellent last night. Keep it up, Swannies!!!
We lose games at selection before the game's actually played. And we trade players we need and keep those we shouldn't. We were gassed last night because we ran the ball versus Sydney who kicked the ball. You can only play Sydney's game if you have the cattle to pull it off. They do. We don't. Massimo would've been handy last night. One of the best 20 or so kicks in the game and he gets traded and we keep McGrath? Heppell dropping chest marks? It was a decent effort last night but until we get real we'll remain a bog average side.

DonT talk about the opposition as Sheedy never talked much about the opposition, Talk about the mistakes the team is having. And there is a lot. Im sick of hearing the opposition. Brad should be demoted. Dont talk crap just coach hard to win. im so pissed off
Clearly didn't watch the game because they came out tough and executed. still need to work on transition defence and turnovers but we'll get better at that throughout the season plus once ridley and Redman are back and Mckay finds his footing the defence will improve a ton

I believe that in Aussie Rules as long as the player has full control stepping out of bound he still has control and the ball is still live.
