I have ridden Goldwings since the late 90's. 112,000 miles on my current one. However, i am 72, and I wouldn't mind stepping down to something like this bike. The only problem is that i make annual trips to our family Adirondacks lake cottage, 1000 miles round trip.
Yep, I've owned 4 Goldwings and put at least 80K miles on all of them. I miss the rolling Lazyboy recliner feel, but I definitely don't miss the 750+ pound curb weight. If I get another tourer, it'll probably be a Yamaha FJR1300... always wanted one, but never pulled the trigger. 🤔 --QM
Nice looking scooter. Just drove from Idaho Falls back to Houston. If you are looking for a few more hills, rural but with relatively warm weather, try southwest Arkansas up north of Texarkana
Well, on my ride in this morning, it’s 24° out right now Fahrenheit and feels like 20 apparently, but of course the super cup did just fine. She doesn’t mind the cold. That fuel injection probably helps with that. I wasn’t quite full Michelin man status but pretty close as far as all the layers.
Quasi, I too, got my CT125 out of my rotation. Now have a new (leftover) '23 Matte Brown Metallic, Honda PCX 160 abs. I see what was so enticing about these!! It's winter here in Northern Wisconsin. So other than the 2x around block, have not ridden yet. Can you please tell me if Puig is the tall clear windshield to go with? I hear there is no bracketry like other after market windscreens. Mounts like OEM shorty.
Well, I know this is a scooter on this video but I just wanted to say that I am going to get a trail of 110 1982. I think it’s just the right thing to do. I ordered service manual and I’m gonna get that model one way or another. I think it will go good with my 2020 Honda super cub
I thinking getting a Lifan KPV 150cc because been having trouble on my Piaggio mp3 250 Tilt lock system and weight of this bike 560lbs and just want go riding! Mr. Aaron
@@EddieEloff Oh, yeah... the SilverWing is a great cross-country scooter. Unfortunately, it's way over the 300cc limit for that event. The Scooter Cannonball is an endurance race for small scoots and an exercise in minimalism. The SilverWing would be cheating... too easy! 😉👍 --QM
I've been discussing it on my Discord server, so you might jump over there to see if/when we have updates. Here is the free invitiation link: discord.gg/DfC97FU . Otherwise, I'll try to post a community link here on TH-cam with a few days of advance notice. 😉👍 --QM
i tried to call you yesterday. but i now see you mounted your top box mount right on the stock rack of your wing. i have been looking for a after market top box rack but have not found one. and the one i ordered before i went to the Ozarks says its going to be here today

Dumb question. What’s the quad lock iPhone holder for the adv160 called that holds the phone on the handle bars between the 4 bolts? Is that the handlebar mount or the fork stem mount?
Aren't most fuel tanks on those type of scooters, plastic? My Goldwing has a plastic tank. I add stabolizer in the Fall and never had a problem in the Spring. As for "Cash price" stations. I love them. Why pay for card processing fees if you dont use a card?
Most bikes and scoots have metal fuel tanks, including this SilverWing. I don't have any bikes with plastic tanks in my stable at the moment. Stations that have cash vs credit pricing are great, but they need to advertise that fact BEFORE the sale... bait and switch pricing is unfriendly. 😉👍 --QM
HATE after-roof-redo cleanup. Been there 3 times in 15 years. (storms, hail, trees falling etc.) No fun! I have a broom handle with a 12" wide x2" steel pipe and magnets lined up in it specifically for picking up nails and crap in the yard.
Man, I picked up at least 40 roofing nails, screws, and paper tacks... most of them right along the edges of the driveway just waiting to flatten my tires! 🤬 --QM
@@QuasiMotard Is it just me, or do the more we talk over the last few years the more we seem to be seriously similar in ideology, thought, conceptual thinking etc? Weird. lol
I didn't need the extra storage today, so I removed the Givi Maxia E55 top box for this ride. It can be installed or removed in about 60 seconds with the quick-detach mounting plate and the electrical connector for the lights. 😉👍 --QM
@perrycardwell4692 Ah, gotcha! I bought this scoot in 2006 with about 3K miles on it. The original owner was 6'3" tall, so he removed the backrest to give himself more legroom. He had the seat reupholstered to cover the holes from the backrest support bars. I've never ridden a Silverwing with the OEM backrest, so I don't know the difference. 😉👍 --QM

Happy birthday Quasi! Keep scootin'!
Florida greetings! I love my 2006 Silver Wing! Best thing I ever rode~

Great machine.
Have had a Burgman 650 for almost 10 yrs (and 2 BMW C 650GT later on).
Very love this kind of riding!
Happy birthday Aaron! 🎉🎉🎉
I got a free air hawk a few months back. Definitely a game changer riding on my silverwing.
Just made an "Air Hawk" myself. Damn near woke da neighbors.
Visited Houston for the first time a couple weeks back. Recognized some of it from your videos. But the driving there is... definitely interesting.

I'm glad to be back on the correct side of things now 😁😁
so crazy 444 has been the number I see everywhere for years. It's my "angel" number. Crazy Irony.

That store reminds of the old Fry's Electronics store. On Fridays all the tech guys would fight over my newspaper for the sale ads. lol
