I’m glad to see someone finally playing the best version of this deck with double Cleffa no Rotom! Only change I’d make is putting in the Snorunts that can draw you a card in case you’re really stuck.
Yes I spent hours testing with the rotom version and yea it's terrible. The double rods and research and cleffas is the superior version 👌. This deck goes hard. It's my new main and fav
New player here. Just joined again, haven't played since i was a kid when it first came out. I'm starting to play ranked, is chao the most prominent deck on ranked currently? If so, are there any metal decks to combat it?
No the only decent meta decks are scissor ex/ metang or diagla/metang. They won’t show metal any love and looking at the upcoming releases, they won’t be showing love anytime soon!
Chien-Pao use is sort of skewed due to an in-game event that rewards players for using certain cards that primarily work in water decks and Chien-Pao is the best water deck at the moment. Chien-Pao can be tough but it’s certainly beatable without needing to pick a metal deck. play.limitlesstcg.com/decks/chien-pao-baxcalibur/matchups/?format=standard&rotation=2023&set=TWM According to matchup data from online tournaments above, pretty much every meta deck goes about even with Chien-Pao these days without requiring any specific Chien-Pao tech. However, Chien-Pao seemingly struggles into Regidrago (due to access to Dragapult’s attack), Miraidon (fast first attack and Iron Hands access), Snorlax Stall (trap non-attacking Pokemon), and Ancient Box (Roaring Moon will eventually one-shot one or more Chien-Pao and Chien-Pao isn’t really built to easily take 6 prizes off of 6 big basics).
i just don't think its greninjas time. No draw except for cleffa, and miniscule damage. Though there was an interesting zard greninja, palkia double greninja (both water and fighting) decks that are interesting options but im not sold on greninja, especially after alll of that confusion greninja was never good but now almost unplayable
@@qtAlexx_YT It two shots anything, and combined with Froslass it basically one shots every relevant basic ex, it can take 4 prizes with second attack, it’s a low cost attacker, can search any card, you’re severely underrating Greninja.
I dont know if I did something good but... i replaced 1 rare candy with 1 Greninja ex (that one from shrouded fable promo) as it rly helps me to close games sometimes
I’ve seen a few people tech that water Greninja into their decks. I don’t know how consistently you get 2 energy onto it but it certainly helps if you can get it set up.
Been running similar but just don't use Cleffa and instead Rotom V. I think my biggest issue comes in that if I brick I brick hard. I have been experimenting with Cornerstone in here too. It can't attack but can stop some decks in it's track. It's high enough HP means Frosslass isn't too much of an issue.
Double Cleffa ensures you don’t brick, it protects your setups, gives you a pivot, and fills your hand with usually more cards than Rotom. And always go second with this deck.
I am new to the Pokemon TCG. Is there a reason not to play radiant Greninja? I mean its a good card cause of the draws and can attack with a spread move too
I believe some variants have run Radiant Greninja. It’s arguably the best card in the game, but its fit in Greninja Froslass is questionable. 1. You need a lot of bench space for multiple Froslass and Greninja. Radiant Greninja might be a tough fit. 2. You don’t get as much benefit from Concealed Cards in this deck because it runs relatively little energy. You don’t see as much energy to discard to begin with and you generally don’t want to get rid of it. 3. Powering up Moonlight Shuriken is basically impossible in this deck, as the likelihood of Radiant Greninja surviving 3 turns to power it up manually is basically 0. There’s no other way of accelerating energy other than from hand, making it an unwieldy attack.

Just started the game with my kids last month. This is the first paper deck I have and love it. Might not be meta but it’s a blast to play
Also big ups to you man. I found your videos last month and love the content. They’ve been both helpful and entertaining!!
You made so many missplays that second game, lol, but it shows you the power of the deck that you still won.
I feel like this deck has a high sealing but a pretty low floor if you not playing well
i tried a version of this with rotom v a few weeks back and i really liked it but couldnt make it feel consistently strong. ill try this version too.
I love it, only having cards in the board that can do damage no rotom or lumineon, SNORLAX STALL HAS ME BEAT

Love this deck... It's so fun... I added an arezu to try and get the froslass going at top speed early on.

Also a lot of the hyped cards/decks with in the next set are weak to fighting.
I play it eith hyper aroma, putting 3 frosslass in the same turn is priceless
My paper build of this deck features Hyper Aroma! I’m not mad at it as the Ace Spec of choice.
thanks for the video. How this deck win vs Dragapult?
I have played what i call, "Ninja Zard" a combo of Greninja EX and Charizard Ex, did go 4-1 in Locals Please give this a try

27:58 you could've got counter catch off the irida and gusted their only charmander and probably won off that
running a hyper aroma I feel like would do better in the froslass setup

i would add a radianz alakaza for sniping bench by moving counters
Did you try it?
Does it work?
Wonder why Artazon. Maybe b/c 4 Poffin just isn't enough?
what is b/c?

Can you Irida Greninja ex when it’s the fighting type?
Nope I think he misspoke
Nope. I probably misspoke in the video 🤦♂️
Squawkabilly ex resists fighting
Also, Irida can't grab Greninja ex
