Such a clean beautiful build! I considered an RS3 when I sold my Evo, but ultimately went with an A90 Supra since I have a separate daily. Can't go wrong with either
Pockets are empty after buying it haha but we have a great mechanic who will look after it and does a few RS3s currently. It's been meticulously serviced and new pads and rotors all around so we're hoping it will be good for a while haha
Was that the car or my heart fluttering around the 19 minute mark Good lord!!!! Well I think the RS3 is back in Canada again time to review my purchase selections great video M8!! I think the wife's about to lose her car😂 🇨🇦
Not sure if you found this out yet but if your crusing in comfort and then come across a tunnel or want to race someone instead of using the drive selection u can pull the leaver down to get it in sport mode and then switch to manual and drive it like it’s dynamic without being dynamic
What a beautiful car! I really am a sucker for that nardo gray too. Would you say the wheel mounted paddles are better for daily driving? I guess prefer column mounted paddles as I always know where to find them lol. One thing I wish the MR had was a 7th gear or taller last gear like in the ralliart. How the Germans seem to be able to create such bulletproof stock gearboxes stuns me. Makes me wonder what a DQ500 SST hybrid would be like. Probably just a built SST with an extra gear.
I definitely prefer the column mounted paddles as like you said you always know where they are. An extra gear would have been so good for SST but same for three GSR
2:30 the "nerdo" grey is nothing but the boring standard/basic single-coat painting and looks like window putty. My 640hp RS3 Limo has the glacier white metallic with black package and THAT looks sexy. Nerd grey is for nerds lol. And for Kevins. In next lfe ask for something called "good taste" 😂
A pre purchase inspection would be the best thing but definitely make sure all services are done, check the brakes as new rotors and pads are going to be a very expensive thing
Wonder why Audi moved the drive mode select button off the wheel for 2018? Although one can program the asterisk button on the 2018 wheel to select the drive mode. I think the button looks better.
This is an aftermarket R8 style steering wheel which has the engine start stop and drove mode button added. The stock wheel didn't have these for this model either (at least in Australia anyway)
I went over the mods it has in the first minute or so of the video. Eventuri intake Ecu and tcu tune from unitronic 2 piece front and rear rotors Maxton design lip kit Plus eibach lowering springs

@@JacksonStrainThanks! I have a downpipe with a miltek non res system, it’s a bit too loud, going to swap it for the standard sports exhaust but didn’t want it to be too quiet!
If I don’t own Evo 10 I would probably consider buying an Audi RS3 hatchback then upgrade to stage 2+ .. and enjoy driving it every day 😊. Since here a local Mitsubishi dealer does not supply spare parts for Evo X, always I need to make a special order from JP, and takes a long time to arrive 150-200 business days 😅. Or order parts directly from the US or AU Andi have to pay extra for shipping/customs/ tax. 😂 I guess one day I have to say good bye to old old friend
Rs3s are expensive as hell. Budget is a major factor on them, in USD, you cant find any of them under 52k. New ones retail over 69k and dealer markups dip well into 80k with fees and taxes. When i had my Evo X MR, i got it for 26k USD, had a 10plate sst from kozmic for 5k, MHI turbo and FBO for a few K and k would say to this day id take my evo. I Actually tracked repeatedly with a guy who had a tuned RS3 and he was surprised how fast my evo was for its age anytime we tracked together and he was def surprised, for what its worth. All i had in addition was ohlins coilovers and pilot SS for the track which still, on the evo budget- nowhere near RS3 money. Which says alot. If i really pushed it or any of us do on the evo to the RS3 price point, the evos are fast as fck.
Ohh yeah they're definitely more expensive and not really suited to be a track car they're more of a luxury cruiser and straight line speed car. Made for cruising the autobahn in germany for sure
@@JacksonStraindont get me wrong, id LOVE one as a daily- but they are really, really expensive over here in the US and dont seem to be dipping anytime soon lol. Congrats on the new car in the arsenal!
@@shad3128 yeah they're very expensive here too and about double the price of an Evo X but it's kind of replacing both of Letisha's cars as she had a daily Mazda CX5 and the Evo as her weekender but realised she'd probably prefer just one car to replace both especially since she wasn't really looking to track her Evo other than some cruising and roll racing events. So RS3 definitely fit the bill of what she thought she'd like
Dude i get it with the RS3, lots of headroom with the 2.5 and 4x4 however, if i was selling the 9 I'd probably go with an M2 just for style and looks. Ps they do have handling drawbacks for tracking with weight distribution and an evo is for enthusiasts who want to talk mods and go for runs, while an rs3 are for crackle tune fan boys 👍
Yeah RS3 isn't really a track car it's more a luxury cruiser with straight line speed and good launch. She was considering an F80 M3 also but the size and sound of the RS3 was what she liked the most
It's a lot of fun still and unsure if you watched the video or not but this car doesn't have a crackle tune and I mentioned I'm not a fan of them nor is Letisha so we would have had it removed if it did

Yeah absolutely love the A90s too, she's more into hatches and sedans otherwise they would have been on the list
word of advice ,make sure you have deep pockets to repair and maintenance , audi are prone to have alot of issues and difficult to service :)

It's the logical upgrade from an MR for sure.

Great video what tune do you have?
Thanks, it has unitronic ecu and tcu tune
Did you sell the evo/ traded it for the rs3?
Red Evo is currently for sale
What year model is this? Sorry if I missed it in the video.
Hi it's a 2017 model
Did you do a turbo muffler delete when you did the intake?
Hey I'm nor sure sorry as the previous owner did the intake.
I don't believe so though as he said all he did was intake and tune
I think they had to of done it, no way just a intake and tune could do that, I have a rs3 fbo and it does not turbo flutter like that.
what visual mods have you added?...have a list somewhere?

Eventuri intake
