Thank you. I recently received a tattoo unalome. Currently struggling with my one employee and I’m mentally going through it healing and peace. I don’t know what to do. I want to get to the other side but I don’t see it🤦🏽♀️
Hello, i am planning to get Unalome tattoo on my wrist . I found a beautiful unalome tattoo & want to know if its okay to make the symbol in the following manner 3 dots 1 small circle The large spiral 1 small circle The straight line... long line Three dots My main query is, is it okay to add a small circle between the loops & the long line. Also i dont know the meaning of the small circle so it would be great if you can help me with that ❤
Hi, that sounds like a beautiful tattoo idea! We don't see anything wrong with that. Circles symbolize eternity and completion, that would work well with the unalome symbolism. Just my opinion here :)
@@SymbolSage Thank you replying ❤️. I read somewhere that unalome is generally a continuous straight line without breaks and 3 dots at the end … introducing a circle right after the loops breaks the line so want to be sure if it’s ok to break the line
@@pri11.21 That's true, it does change the meaning a little bit - but what's more important to you, the meaning of the design or its aesthetic? And what's the idea behind adding the circles? Because answering these questions will make it easier for you to decide on the final design.
@@SymbolSage meaning is more important to me … I picked the design from the internet so didn’t know the reason behind the circle. Finally I have decided to do the following: - 3 dots (circle and then 2 tapering dots) this is for aesthetic reasons and also it could mean that we start as consciousness - Red heart - to remind me ‘I am love’ so always operate from love and not fear After this will be the actual unalome symbol - Female version of the spiral - loops (is it ok to have 2 pairs of loops?) is there any condition on the number of loops? - straight line - 3 dots Is there anyway for me to share the symbol with you. I have Heard that tattoos open portals to the symbols you etch so want to be very sure of what I am inviting in my life.
@@pri11.21 Sounds really nice! At the end of the day, there are so many versions and ways to stylize symbols. So, there's no 'correct' way. Your tattoo idea sounds great, and it also sounds like something that really means a lot to you. That's the main thing with symbols - we can enhance their meaning with little variations. Good luck with your tattoo! I'm sure it'll be awesome!
Actually the Unalome doesn't have 3 dots at the top. Thats a "version" we made in the west :)
Muy buena explicación. Gracias.
De nada!
Great video! Was wondering whether the Unalome had any significance in Western cultures?
No it doesnt. It is a symbol that represents the path to enlightment for monks.
