What can I say, I've loved this sport since the age of 14, now 54, and I never get bored of it, and this video sums it all up. Well done guys, top job. Kris and Paul would/could be world champions in the right car.
These pacenotes are super extensive :o With information on braking points, corner speeds, and reminders to take it easy. Not easy to understand but even harder to read them I think
Jumpscares - No, I'm not talking about being close to a wall or tree 3:14 - 6:13 - 7:40 PS: Somebody should invent a tyre that can do nicely on ice while not being awful and getting destroyed on cold tarmac. I mean, the stuff once they hit the snow is ridiculous!
Diego Ruiz watching them slither on the ice is very impressive, and with intermittent ice patches it shows great skill in car control and of judgment of the conditions ahead. the comprimised setup required for the monte is part of what makes it unique, and my favourite.
Taking advantage that the 2022 edition is very close, would it be possible for you to share any onboard video of these two spectacular stages ( 2004: TC9 Sigale - Col de Bleine and 2005: TC1 Ilonse - Pierlas? I think that all the rallyholics will enjoy it! Please keep on updloading onboards from the old schools as the ones that you shared called " Classic onboards", THEY ARE AWESOME. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've always wondered how come studded tyres are out of line? Modern technology cannot get the studs to hold together? Of course, the grip would be weaker on dry tarmac. However, the descent seems to be performed with summer tyres.
Jonas K on the tarmac sections the studs would be torn out of the tyre surface they do sometimes use studded tyres but there needs to be lots of snow and ice to make it beneficial

It's 40 years already. You must have known this sport really well. The car, the aerodynamic, regulations, .. 👏🙏😊
Apart from the occasional audio jump scare I loved it. Meeke is just a machine!
That's a set of titanium balls in a kevlar and carbon fibre sack.

Quite easy, actually. Right 5 bump 100 - drive into right hand corner in 5th gear, followed by a bump, 100 meters to next corner
It just proves Rally drivers have balls of steel driving in the dark.
Not least on those slippy ice patch ridden roads of Monte Carlo.
Anti-shaking technololy at its best.Loved every second of the video.
I love watching Meeke and Nagle because I can finally understand the notes and what turns are coming up. Cool to learn and enjoy watching.
Brilliant. More free onboard's please.
Imagine the concentration level for the pair of them. Amazing 👏
One mistake and you fly off the road!!! These drivers are not ordinary humans 🤩

I was just thinking about what would happen if they hit black ice
i was there, min 11:26, thank you !
Paul Nagle's voice reminds me the voice of Robert Reid and also the way of speak. Amazing onboard!

night rallying is the best!
Nagle. Great co-driver
Not *that* evident here, but still, I like how Nagles pace note every so often remind Meeke to slow it down.
This doesn't need two unstoppable adverts. TH-cam is a pisstake.
awesome video!
Sometimes it sounds like there are 4 guys in the car :D
>2016
>480p
Can't upload in HD because you'd copyright strike yourselves?
Isn't enough for you sir??
No ma'am
Coming from the WRC, some 720 or even 1080 footage wouldve been great.
woooow I got tired just from watching! This had to have taken all the life of the driver lol incredible !
Great job Kris!
480p??!

if you ever want to see a superhuman look to the wrc
Night is a lot beeter than day. You can focus on the road.
Aside from reading the pace notes, what does the co-driver do after the stage in terms of time cards and so forth

Thanks for the clarification. The tyres really take a violent beating.
