its so nice to see everything looking normal there buddy, love the crowd in the stadium. its like everything went back to normal there. Romania got it all fixed up.
it's starting to get worse, but it won't probably affect stadium crowds that much, since you need a vax certificate or a test to get in anyway. But if the cases rise a lot, I think the attendance will be further reduced - I'm not sure, not a lot of people keep count of what the rules are anymore.
I was born, raised and lived till 40 y/o in Italy. Now it's 10 years that I moved to California. With the experienced made seeing the 2 different cultures, am telling that you 2 guys did an amazing experience. I'm telling to all the Americans here, that they should experience at least one time in their life, to see from live, a sport (soccer or basketball majority) match. When you feel the stadium under your feet shaking, vibrating just for the power of the supporters, see how crazy we are for our own team, it's a thing that anybody should experience... Congratulation guys for the decision that you made. Moreover congratulations that you 2 are been able to exit alive lol... You were speaking about the supporters been not able to see the match because covered by that huge white "flag"... Yeah brother, we don't care to see the match, we are there to make war. Then when and if we are able to go back to our homes, we re watch the game on TV hahahaha... At the soccer stadiums likewise basketball arena we go for war. That's it :) ... I've been to many footballgames in Europe. I've been lucky to have been in Bucharest when Steaua (now FCSB) - Dinamo was being played. Most intense game i ever went and i went to 2 matches in Istanbul. At first i was overwhelmed by all the fireworks, the fires, the flares.. but after a few minutes i just went with the flow and enjoyed an intense 90 minutes. Taunting, fireworks on the pitch, players getting booked for taunting supporters.. And not a single bad thing outside the stadium, just friendship. Even got to see 3 goals. Steaua won 3-0.

You guys need to see more derbies. I am a fan of FCSB (also called by many of us STEAUA), but I have to admit I was missing the matches with Rapid. Their fans are really passionate. And the season 2021-2022 is probably the most interesting one in ages. I just love to go around National Arena to hear the atmosphere from the stadium. I can say that I was able to hear people being happy for that goal from a pretty far distance.
What a great idea to be a part of Rapid = FCSB game. There are great rivalries between these guys going back more then 60 years. We can add another old group here, Dinamo, but there are not solid anymore. You guys were great in discover the "delicate" touch of love and devotion for your team. That is something.
Rivalries going back since steaua was founded (with Russian communists support, as the army's team) and that is because whoever loved Rapid and the beauty of life, hated everything that steaua was representing. As fans, steaua was 0 until late '90s. Even in late '90s soldiers in uniforms were brought to their stadium so the team would have someone to clap hands for them.
Get it straight... If you're talking about Fc fcsb, it's history since 2013. That was all settled by the romanian justice! Fc fcsb is not and will never be Steaua Bucharest! Everyone was lied by that fucking shepherd!!! The real Steaua Bucharest fans stayed with the original club, the Army Sports Club Steaua Bucharest! The biggest and most succesfull multi-sports club in Romania! We have the name, we have the history, we have everything!
Awesome video! Oh man I miss going to the stadium. Guess you ended up at the perfect match for your first fotball experience. I really enjoyed your video. I was over there, în the stands, where all that smoke was and I jumped and sang all the match. You were very lucky to be at exactly this match. Among the match against Dinamo Bucharest, it's the most important match of the year for us, Rapid fans. Before 1989, when România was a comunist country, Rapid was the team of the working class and Steaua and Dinamo were the teams of the Românian Army (steaua) and of Românian Security (Dinamo), being such an important part of the comunist regim. Both teams were founded în 1945 when we were unde Stalin's regime. Because of this communist pedigri, we realy hate both teams. Rapid, before the 1989 Revolution, we were the only football fans that sang"Rapid fans are not part of the communist party' and that was really major în those years. I hope you enjoyed the match. For us, The Rapid fans, it was totally bliss to win against Steaua. Now we are preparing to be near our team when they play away în Botoșani, a city at 650 km from Bucharest. We will be around 3000-4000 fans that will make the trip. Enjoy your stay în România!!! .
Thanks for the short cool history lesson, Silviu! What I'd like to add is that we, as Rapid fans, have a saying: "It's not you who chooses to be a Rapid fan. Actually, Rapid chooses you." And this is actually true if you think that only those who took the time and effort to research the history of these 3 Bucharest teams, managed to figure which one is the GOOD team (as in the opposite of evil), from a moral standpoint, while most current supporters of the former communist teams either don't know the history, either they're in for the trophies only, just like a fake bitch having a sugar daddy. :) FZR!!!
@@JetLagWarriors Haha, I would not say ”wrong all along”, but mislead. Football should be a sport played with the feet only, so thats why you have the ”hands” penalty when a player touches accidentally more or less the ball with their hand, but in the so-called ”american football”, the players grab the ball with their hands and run with it like crazy to mark. Silly. The word ”football” should NOT be in the american vocabulary. Their sport is not football, but a strange rugby :D

its so nice to see everything looking normal there buddy, love the crowd in the stadium. its like everything went back to normal there. Romania got it all fixed up.
Not really, normal there should be 50,000+ fans, but...the restrictions
@@julianasandei3465 There are a lot of fabs in the stadium at least. Better than none at all.
it's starting to get worse, but it won't probably affect stadium crowds that much, since you need a vax certificate or a test to get in anyway. But if the cases rise a lot, I think the attendance will be further reduced - I'm not sure, not a lot of people keep count of what the rules are anymore.
as a Romanian i am proud of how many loyal fans we have! I love your videos!keep up.

For us In whole Europe, as well South America and Africa, it's not sport, it's not a game, it's religion, it's part of us. We have our team in the blood, in the soul... And you guys are been in a pretty quiet place. In many places is much worst than that.

Frații noștrii, hai Rapid , Poli este cu voi
you were very lucky to catch this crowd and atmosphere, Rapid have been climbing through the lower leagues for the last years because of previous financial problems, but now for the first time in many years they faced FCSB(fka Steaua) reviving one of the classic Romanian derbies.
Because of Covid the stands are not full. I was twice there for Romania- Hungary games in previous years and the stadium was full. Hungary is Romania rival and imagine the athmosfere like 10 times than the one from your video. Every single person in the stands was chanting and screaming when something happened on the field. You can find on youtube videos from the stands from those matches.
And after that they started fighting each other so UEFA said no more România vs Hungary at Bucharest or Budapest
@@dragossusi hey hey we dont talk about that XD
You can find videos on yt. Search for Romania - Hungary. It's the one with 55k people in the stands. Full House 😅

Americans experiencing FOOTBALL for the first time is allways amazing to see :D you guys crack me up :D Kinda reminds me of when i went to my very first football match, local derby, there was this thick yellow and blue smoke, ALOT of "flares" and cobra's ( the bombs you hear ), i knew i was hooked to this, i just turned 7 and it was my uncle's bday gift. I learned on an older age that my uncle was one of the top hooligans at the time he gave me that ticket.
Maybe a little tip for you guys, we dont care about the score or how the match is going, we are loyal nomatter the outcome. Win or loose, we will give it all we got!
Welcome to RAPID family (from a Romanian settled in the UK), facts : the team has been relegated due to financial issues to the last division and has won it's way back to the first division. Also the fans were with the team all the way

Our first football experience ever was insanely memorable! What an atmosphere lol. Can't forget it

Thank you, my friend. Great video and especially, reactions from you. Forza Rapid.
Sick! Loving this guys! At 1:30, Steve, you look like you're in your absolute element mate! This is a great a vlog. Watch out for the ultras!
You pick the right match.
Thanks!
Awesome video! Oh man I miss going to the stadium. Guess you ended up at the perfect match for your first fotball experience. This is awesome. Attending a live football match in Romania.
:) FZR!!!
after this video you have all my respect guys
That is football Steve. Now you know, hahaha.
Lol I had it wrong all along
@@JetLagWarriors Haha, I would not say ”wrong all along”, but mislead. Football should be a sport played with the feet only, so thats why you have the ”hands” penalty when a player touches accidentally more or less the ball with their hand, but in the so-called ”american football”, the players grab the ball with their hands and run with it like crazy to mark. Silly. The word ”football” should NOT be in the american vocabulary. Their sport is not football, but a strange rugby :D
