    Great content. I've watched numerous chicken coop and run builds to get an idea of what I wanted to model mine after. Excellent tips, especially the doors and windows. I'm fortunate to have found your site. Thanks a million.

    Did you attach hardware cloth in windows as well? Love the coop too!

    I dare say I have watched easily over 100 diy chicken coop videos, only a couple have stood out, but none have come close to what your doing, mine will stand out because it's built differently, and I'm going to try some experimental stuff just to see how well it works, but your coop can only be compared to a carolina coop 😉

    Really nice build and videos
    What kind of window hinges are those? They open automatically a little bit?

      Lukas, I think its this one or something very close: www.lowes.com/pd/Gatehouse-Gatehouse-3-1-2-In-1-4-In-Radius-Door-Hinge-Matte-Black/1002786856
      They do not open automatically, its just the weight of the door swings it out to that position. Thanks!

    Great work, what are the dimensions of the windows. I followed everything you did so. My rough opening for the windows are 9 1/2 inches

    • @HomesteadEngineering
      @HomesteadEngineering  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      9 1/2 is correct and the window frame is 9 but rounded a bit shorter on the edge that would clip when shutting.

    How much is the over hang on the trim? Is it 1/2 inch

    How are you planning on holding the windows open?

    • @HomesteadEngineering
      @HomesteadEngineering  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure yet. Maybe dowels or a chain from above or both.

      @@HomesteadEngineering I built a very similar one and getting chicks in a month. Just haven't decided how to do the window propping open. Will most likely do chain so I can adjust the amount open. Yours looks great, and thanks

      @@HomesteadEngineering The coop and run I built is smaller but the same basic design. I will try sending a pic of the window.
