Around thirty-five years ago, I had listened to this song from Acharya Shantidev Ghosh in Calcutta... Those who were fortunate enough to listen to songs from Rabindranath, wrote that Shantidev would sing like his Gurudeb ....... ( And, yes, please don't confuse people willingly or unwillingly. Bear in mind, Acharya Shantidev Ghosh was a very revered personality).
কবিগুরু অমর বাণী অবিনাশী সুর শুনে বিমোহিত হই।তখন নিজেকে হারিয়ে ফেলি।সাহিত্যের যে শাখাই কলম ধরার চেষ্টা করি গুরুদেব তুমি ও নজরুলের কথা মনে পড়লে কলম ধরার সাহস হারিয়ে ফেলি।তারপরও লিখি নইলে ভবিষ্যত প্রজন্ম তোমাদের ভুলে যাবে।পরপাড়ে ভালো থেকো।

I an a Maharashtriyan lady, I have learnt Bangla because I love the language, and this song I love more than any other song, even a marathi song. I have fallen in with this song and the language.
