In my personal favorite sirens are: EQ2B (Priority) Code 3 mastercom b 3 or what name is like Whelen (including HI-LO And ALTERNATE TONES) Federal signal pa300 (including the PRTY Version) And pa20A and pa15
Having had in person experience with an EQ2b via Salisbury NC Battalion 1, it's not as bad as folks make it out to be. It is loud, it sounds like a siren, it gets folk's attention and moves traffic. So to those saying 'death to the Fake Q' and stuff like that.. How bout you fuck off? Not every vehicle can handle the 1000+amp draw of a Q siren, so. The job of a siren, as Ive had to say in so many other videos, is not to please you. Federal Signal's job is not to APPEASE you, it is to sell to Emergency Services, and move traffic. Be it for Police, Fire, or EMS. If Law Enf orders EQ sirens, then they'll sell them EQs and no-one is really gonna care if you think 'Only a fire truck gets a Q'... Beacuse that's just you.
Most definitely. We preform what's called a rolling stop where we don't come to a full stop but we come to a near stop and continue with caution. It's standard driving protocol, also a lot of drivers have this idea that when you put the lights and sirens you are demanding the right away when in all reality we are requesting it. We want to get to the scene in a fast time but at the same time we don't want anyone being hit or injured in that process.
+R Leslie ??? A siren is a siren I see no reason why an ambo shouldn't have a q or eq, they were some of the last to switch from mechanical to electric sirens. And they would use an eQ because *the Q requires like 1000 amps* whereas the eQ requires no more than any other electronic siren. Also, FDNY has em since normal Q exceeds db limits while eQ+BP doesn't. Plain and simple. The horn on the revised model is a piece of shit though XD +90210FireBuff Pair it with a 200-watt BP and it gets pretty close, with an Xec speaker and it does indeed exceed a Q in the front, not so much the sides
Those EQ2B sirens are much more better but the Q2B ones are noisy and loud but they still sound nice!
I do not agree.. But it's your opinon, not mine. I think Q2B's are way better than an EQ2B
PA300 + eQ = amazing
I've noticed that eq2b sirens have an extra kick at the peak of their wail, they also have two prolonged wind down periods.

Great Hill hose co in Seymour CT engine 16 and rescue 17 both have the E Q 2 B siren
Eq2b can spotted in new york
2:20 I love this! And he caught air for a second xd

very nice
I know another truck that has an EQ2B, Tullytown Engine 33
Eq2b is my favorite siren
Eq2b sirens are my favorite
I love the sirens
I use a video editor I purchased online.
it's growing on me because we use them on our ambulances
EQ2 WAS ATI ING LIKE THEY HAVE A Q WITH STRAINING EQ2B LOL.
Your comment makes no sense at all.
the eq2b wail, yelp, and phaser i can handle as well as powercalls but i can't stand the European hi-lo sirens
Powercalls are awsome
OK thanks.
Where is best responding 2015
You can use the TH-cam video editor OR some software on your computer like I have (iMovie).
Whatever dept it is that blows traffic lights without even slowing and checking the least bit will be in trouble one day for killing someone.

Great video !! :)
How do u make a compilation video? I use to know how to but I forgot lol.
nice complation
I love this siren better than the q2b
3:14
1:49 omg
Pa300 next
Any calls.
Everyone does
I hate the Eq2b yelp
But, Why?
I love it
Who the hell would put an imitation Q on a fire truck?
And, an ambulance has no business running even an imitation, let alone a real Q.
The Eq2b is louder than the original and it gives the ambulances more importance...
Xavier Savedra No way an eq2b is louder than a real q
And why doesn't an ambulance have any business running any type of Q?

+Thefirefighter2631 For some people it breaks tradition.
Lol it's horrible isn't it?
Ggffffff
I personally think it sounds absolutely awful. And who ever decided to put the q on that ambulance needs to re-evaluate their decision
I think it sounds good on a fire engine and on a heavy/big emergency vehicle but a small ambulance it seems out of place
Thanks
