Bravo bravo! Another fantastic vlog sis! 👏 The pergola looks amazing (lots of dancing to be had on the table hey?! 😂) I think a table that mirrors the form or colour of the columns would look great (or maybe wrought iron! 🤔 And lucky Casper to have landed on your doorstep! ❤😍) xxxxxxx
Darlene, my husband and I from the USA were in Daglan on 9/27 and stopped by to see your cute new art gallery. I was so disappointed to see you were off on holiday yourself. I saw some beautiful botanicals on your video that I so much would have loved to make my own. Oh well, perhaps we will run into you on another trip to France. Daglan is a cute town! Best of luck to you and your husband. Jean B
Oh no! That’s such a shame. If I had only known I could have organised to meet you as I returned from Australia the following day. I hope you had a wonderful holiday here - the Dordogne is an incredible place 😊
The joyfulness of your friends celebrating you is surpassed only by the fantastic and chaotic filming by your friend - I’m so glad you kept that! Such a fun group. I’m so happy that you have all found each other. Also, that cat belongs to you now. Or rather, you belong to him.❤
Thé very best part of living in France, our French neighbours❤❤👏👏 what an honour to be given the maypole and your friends had one too. More celebration excuses. Your pergola looks amazing and you will be so glad of that extra height when it grows like crazy and the flowers are hanging down. I pruned ours really hard this year and it was late getting going. It’s now on its fourth flush of flowers and perfumes the entire area. Your Shaun is a definite keeper coffee in the morning cooking brico pergolas loves cats??👏👏👏🥂🥂🥂🤣❤🤞🙏🏻🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Thank you Susie! It really was a treat and I wanted to share this footage to show how wonderful our new French friends are. Meanwhile Shaun continues to work. 😜🥰 BUT he does enjoy the work and in particular the results. To think that terrace was bare for so so long!
Well there you go Darlene you both have been honoured by such a wonderful community. It was very heart warming to see all the love and admiration that a couple of Aussie’s have seamlessly integrated into the French way and culture we are so proud of you both and wish you all the best in your adopted country- Que votre vie soit comme un lit de roses qui s'épanouit dans une belle relation avec votre communauté, que Dieu vous bénisse. PS: what a magnificent job on the Gazebo! Can’t wait till the wisteria starts to climb.
Thank you so much ☺️ We have happily adopted the French way of life and culture and I think by doing so we have been honoured/rewarded in ways that we never dreamed of. Your lovely msg is sincerely appreciated. 🤩

Bonjour Jean Marc, merci de m'avoir suivi et d'avoir laissé un message si encourageant. N'hésitez pas à me faire savoir si/quand vous visitez cette région et nous pourrons organiser une rencontre. ☺️
Thank you Anne, it’s the best! It reminds me of what Aus was like in the 70s/80s. When I was a kid in a small community watching my parents with their friends. ☺️
His name is Romain. He is a total gem, a great neighbour and runs a Gite business as well and yep in case you missed it, he’s looking for a girlfriend/ling-term partner/wife! 😂☺️
Free stand I think. We will leave the awning there until the plants grow over and then remove it… or leave it as it provides shelter for that French door. Will wait and see!

What an honour you were both given of the tree 🌲
It really was! Amazing really. 🤩
The village is proud to host a talented artist and such a nice couple. It is really a sign of a marvelous integration.

The single guy what is his name ?
His name is Romain. He is a total gem, a great neighbour and runs a Gite business as well and yep in case you missed it, he’s looking for a girlfriend/ling-term partner/wife! 😂☺️
@@DarleneLavett hi just been thinking about you and that it's been a while since you posted a video! Hope everything is okay? 🤗
Hello Darlene. Another wonderful video. Congratulations on your achievements. I would love to get Roman's number...
Thank you and of course… you can find Romain on Facebook - Romain Nys 😃
Darlene I love your painting of the French village. Did it sell? I didn’t see it in your Etsy shop.
Yes I have sold that one Beverly but if you are interested I can make the painting available as a reproduction print.
@@DarleneLavett thank you for getting back to me Darlene. What would a print cost and would it be hard to ship to the US?
You are 'The Cat Whisperer'
😂😻❤️
Darlene are you going to free stand the pergola or connect to the house?
Free stand I think. We will leave the awning there until the plants grow over and then remove it… or leave it as it provides shelter for that French door. Will wait and see!
I have no idea what the tree thing was about. Sorry, the video was kind of cringy for me.
