Pretty sure they're pretty religious, so they'll appreciate the spiritual aspect/roots of the song, like with Plant imploringly singing: "O my Jesus!" and then sighing "Oh, Lord, take me Home..." Peerless.
I don't know why, but when they react to Zep, they will mention everyone expect Page, who is the showpiece of this whole song for example. She threw him a bone at the end, other times, nothing at all. It's weird.
Totally, they don't get Page. I guess some people aren't into the electric guitar. Younger people are into bass and singing. The older people grew up in the guitar era ... 1970's
As a guitar player it's Page's riffs, melodies and solos that stand out to me, but every one of them are musical geniuses. And together they are greater than the sum of their parts.
His brilliance and yet stripped down simplicity is absolute magic. Melodic tuned down stuff is just absolute magic also, no idea how it came to him but it is unexplainable.
This song was left on the recording sessions at Hedley Grange, Zep 4 came out in 71, Physical Graffiti came out in 75,(rode my box bike in 81-82 to buy this album!! Just gave it to my 36 yr old son!!! They never played this live, until Jimmy/Black Crowes Live at the Greek!!!!!! Used to play this album ALL the time!!!! Ten Years Gone, and Boogie with Stu, Black Country Woman and research about the REAL meaning!!!! Best Band EVER!!!!!!
This is one of my all time fav LZ songs.....Cutard Pie is another beauty from this album. You will dearly LOVE "Knowbodies Fault but Mine', from the Mothership (remastered) album, which is my absolute favorite LZ song. It's a banger!!
D'yer Maker (pronounced 'jer maker) is from Houses of The Holy. You guys have actually done several songs from this album & Physical Graffiti is regarded by many as the greatest rock album ever. Their progressive sound is actually from Robert & Jimmy traveling to Morocco and as a result it influenced their music with more arabic/middle eastern melodies and arrangements.
Wow solid night guys, topped off by this one. But Jay, dude, D'yer Maker is not from this album, it's from Houses of the Holy. Do Trampled Under Foot from this album if you want a killer riff.
I love and watch every reaction on RSR, but I get really excited every time I see you are doing another Led Zeppelin song. They are the GOAT when it comes to rock bands. No-one better in my humble opinion!!! 🤟🤟🤟
HUGE Double Album and the soundtrack for my Freshman Year of High School. Physical Graffiti was Led Zeppelin’s first album to go Platinum based on advance orders alone. Many wildly popular Songs on this album.
Creative writing@@brianmcmaster5112 I s’pose the 60’s are better than a lot of my friends who didn’t get this far. Gawd knows I never expected to reach 50.
One of my fave Zep tracks! My 17 year old daughter’s #1 Zep track. Guess I’ve done something right. lol As a bass player, also one of my fave JPJ bass lines. So strong and steady and heavy with flourishes of great color at the exact moments it’s needed. Not too much. Not too little. Just right!
Guys I know your time is tight most days with dropping three videos but Amber you should really consider watching the concert footage of Moby Dick Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1970. Bonam at his absolute best. Amazing, unforgettable solo! Thanks for all your great videos guys, keep em coming
This is one of my favorite songs from this album... You need to hear "Trampled Under Foot", "In My Time of Dying", "Custard Pie", "In the Evening", "The Song Remains the Same"
Every time I listen to Zeppelin in different stages of my life I appreciate different things. First was the rhythm and vocals, then the guitar, then the drums, now all I want to to hear are the instrumentals. yeah-ya, yeah-ya, yeah-ya...
Thanks Jay and Amber, I've being waiting for this one for a long time. This might be my favourite opening guitar work and continuous riff by Jimmy Page. The entire Physical Graffiti double album is fire but its epic of all epic tunes is the mantra-like Kashmir. The song will put you into a trance. The drumming is next level even for Bonham.
Had most of their albums. For Bonham fans (and who isn't), you should check out Moby Dick (live). There's also a video of his son Jason doing that song as a tribute to his dad w/ them splicing in old video so you can see them play together!
I used to ignore this song mostly but it's shot to the top of my list lately. The riff and the lyrics and the groove are perfection. They mastered the rock band formula and took that mastery to a power level
love you guys!! always watch you on my breaks at the hospital and always look forward to your reactions! uou should check out Zeppelin's In My Time of Dying (bob dylan cover) or Trampled Underfoot both off Physical Graffiti !!
Physical Graffiti is a double album from 1975. One side is of older songs from earlier sessions and the other was of new stuff. This song was an outtake of the Houses of the Holy sessions in 1972 D'yer Mak'er was not on this record. It was on House of the Holy.
"The Rover" is actually a song from the album Physical Graffiti. "D'yer Mak'er" is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, from their 1973 album Houses of the Holy. The title is a play on the words "did you make her?" being pronounced as "Jamaica" when spoken in an English accent.
This is why LZ is one of my very top favorite bands a this is from probably my favorite album by them….they are so diverse and this album really shows it!
This was seriously Led Zeppelin at their peak. They had become a complete force of nature. Before any of the catastrophes...they were truly "Golden Gods" at this point.
This reminds me of every 1970s stoner keg party ever. If only I could go back knowing what I know now 😊 They often title their songs after the most obscure lyric in it...or not in it (D'yer Maker, Over The Hills and Far Away, etc)! Always thought this should be titled If We Could Just Join Hands. Ha. Blessings ❤
Physical Graffiti was simply an awesome album. So many classics from this double album. I've said it before, we were spoiled by these great bands. Kashmir being my personal favorite from the Zep was almost an afterthought considering all the great music from this collection.
Awesome choice! Great song, album and band of course, for another from Physical Graffiti, do The Wanton Song, another All time Zeppelin classic. Jimmy Page, master of Riffs! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
Agreed, Amber. In many instances, John's drumming is so meaningful and emphatic. It's like he provides the powerful jet stream behind which the others seemingly follow. But I think that speaks to their cohesiveness as professional musicians. Led Zeppelin is compositionally-rich, as well. So each has room and opportunity to shine with their unique, musical facility. When each perform well, there is an additive quality to their music. I believe one of the band members referred to this collective, orchestral, improvisational facility as the "fifth member" of the band. And I suspect it is that distinct quality that allows you to discern John over the others. In truth, however, the same could be said of Jimmy, or JPJ, or Robert, hearing the same tune on another day. Pretty special band.
Thanks guys for doing The Rover! I thought my comment asking for it probably got lost. So it was a great surprise when you referenced my saying how my Zep faves have changed many times over the years. So fun watching you 2 jam to it. Thanks again! ❤❤❤❤
Amber you never need to say sorry for loving John Bonhams drumming in any led zeppelin song. He was the goat!
in my time of dying is one of the most underrated music in the world even though it is incredible
Can you imagine them playing that one?
@@jimmuratori7458 The drums would blow Amber into next year!

Yes, hopefully they react to the studio version first.
Physical Grafitti. One of the best.
Yep for sure 👍
THE best as far as I am concerned.
@@leetroy3129
True.
Best rock album ever
Single greatest rock album ever created.
I actually just saw Robert Plant live today. Still kills it.
Where? Did u know he’s on fb - u just join if you’re a fan.
Well, I am jealous
this song is the shit. One of the best pure rock song ever!!
I don't know why, but when they react to Zep, they will mention everyone expect Page, who is the showpiece of this whole song for example. She threw him a bone at the end, other times, nothing at all. It's weird.

Omg you did the Rover ! Woo hoo Zeppelins greatest track 😮
My favorite Led Zepplin song!
"Trampled Under Foot" is another Physical Graffiti classic.
Great Song
Even better than the studio version, IMO, is the faster live version from Earl's Court in 1975. It's 9-minutes long and on TH-cam.
How about THE Physical Graffiti classic!
One of my go to songs when I need to GET THE LED OUT!
This has to be reacted to...
The Wanton Song from this album is a must!
I've suggested it several times
Rocked out with Mr Plant & Alison Krauss last night in Charlotte- outstanding musicians all around!✌️❤️
Led Zeppelin's The Rain Song is a must if you haven't done it yet.
Saw them play this live in 1975. Jimmy Page's chuck berry duck walk during the song is forever ingrained in my brain.
Zeppelin never performed The Rover live
@@isaiah5323
Not the full song, but the intro was used live for other songs. After almost 50 years, I can understand the slight difference.
Not until Black Crowes Jimmy Page live@thegreek!!! @@isaiah5323

One of my top 3 Zeppelin songs. That guitar riff and Bonhams drumming are top notch.
still need to do The Rain Song .a Zeppelin classic
That and No Quarter
Agreed live version from "The Song Remains The Same"
The Rain Song is one of my favourite Zeppelin tracks, such a beautifully composed songs that move my soul no matter how many times I’ve heard it
Absolutely, the studio version first.
This is one of the hidden gems from the Physical Graffiti album, along with "In the Light".
and Down by the Seaside!
The Rover is my favorite Zep tune ! ❤️
Zeppelin is my favorite group !!!
Acceptable answer, it's a lot of people's favorite group.

Oops, I see you already reviewed 'Knowbodies Fault but Mine'. Somehow, I missed that.
"Achilles Last Stand" Led Zeppelin
I love that one!!!!!
Yeah Achilles is IMO the GREATEST rock song in history!!! Absolutely a BEAST of a song
One of the best long form tracks like Yes’ Close to the Edge or Rush’s 2112
Omg yes, I’ve been waiting for them to react to that one!!
You want them to react? Gotta pay up.
Zeppelin is THE rock band that all others are measured up against
And come up a little short.
One of the best double albums ever
Always been one of my fave Zep tunes. Great bass in this one. 🤘
In order to get the full effect of “The Roverl” you need to listen to it LOUDLY while driving on an empty road fast.
With the Top Down
You will ALWAYS be driving fast with this track playing. ✌️
After smoking a j

Badass Zeppelin song. Now you gotta hear Achilles Last Stand

This song is a real testament to their strong blues foundation. It's really prominent, and is lit. dig it...
Spot On, No one plays the blues better than Led Zeppelin! 🎸
One of the most underrated Zeppelin tunes, the guitar work is spectacular!
Thanks for more Led Zeppelin
My favorite band since 69 ❤
I think it is all about the guitar in this one! Saw them live and when they started playing the Rover Jimmy was spectacular.
Finally three great songs from three great bands. Well done...😊😊😊
One of my faves! That Bass!🔥🤘🎶✌
This song blew me away the first time i heard it. Still one of my favorites.
I would suggest anything from this album, one of their best!
I bought the 4 disc CD box set back in the 80s and it's still in great condition. Greatest band that spans generations.
My favorite song on this album! You guys should just do this entire masterpiece track by track...
My fav led zeppelin song!

Good Memories!!♥️😊
Great pick!! You can't go wrong with Zeppelin! Give Traveling Riverside Blues a review. Great song!
Yeah the team up between the drums and guitar is what makes it. The riff at the beginning with the powerful drum part is mind blowing.
So close, if you want one of Bonham's finest moments it's the next song on the album, “In My Time of Dying.”
Indisputable!
Led Zeppelin rules.
The 70s RULE PERIOD ,
In the Light is another must listen 🔥
I just saw him this last Sunday! He is awesome still!

The band played part of this song in Sydney in February 1972. Three years later it was on an album.

The guitar, the bass, the drums and finally the vocals.....what a groovy song ,all in sinc ,love watching you guys

Nice! Good song for a Sunday afternoon.
Physical Graffiti really does it for me, the bass on the Rover is insane.

I've been waiting patiently for you to do this song from the beginning. I just KNEW that Amber would LOVE it.
This song always gives me that buzz, that body high, the chills - it's hard to describe being on cloud 0.
