And here I thought that I had had a traumatic childhood and many challenges throughout my adult life - funny enough, part of it also in Africa, not far away from Zimbabwe - but compared to Robin's life, mine was a walk in the park. I also had to work a lot to heal my wounds, and it's only a few days ago (at 72!) that I suddenly felt deep compassion, and love, and tenderness for this being that had made it so far as "elegantly" as possible.
You are a noble, brave warrior, Robin, and as such I honor you deeply.
"God doesn't give the hardest battles to His toughest soldiers, He makes the toughest soldiers through life's hardest battles" - (unknown).

@ItsmeBish584 Yes, I agree. I switched after working my way from 100 mgs daily down to 25 and took suboxone and went into precipitated withdrawal and it was 6 hours of being so hypersensitive to air I had to alternate bw a sweltering blanket and sitting in the shower with RLS sending electrical jolts to course through my body at rapid speed. It was the entire course of withdrawal compacted into 6hrs of unbearable hell that made every minute feel like an hour. Now, with hindsight I should’ve never continued with subutex as a crutch afterwards and should’ve toughed it out. I hadn’t slept for 3 days but it wasn’t too insufferable. I can feel emotions now tho. I cried through her entire story. The numbness that methadone affords is good for healing and getting your life together but not for living your life. Once you’ve fully recovered and your opioid receptors have repaired so that you’re stable, I suggest working toward switching.

Dearest Robin. I am spellbound by your story, your singing, your love despite your many frightening experiences.
I recently cared for my husband Walter at home in our cottage by a river. He wanted to be at home with me caring for him. I had no idea what lay ahead. It was scary but somehow I found the strength to not totally fall apart and help him make a peaceful crossing after 3 weeks without food. I too am an artist and just finished his portrait which seemed to have his influence, his love for me and mine for him, helping me. He sent me numerous signs of him being here with me, including a absolutely perfect, beautiful icy snow-heart. I am head to toe covered in goosebumps when he is near me. I feel him. He wants me to be happy, to smile again. He is my guardian angel showing me I am stronger then I realize. I am 72.
I have not gone through anything even close to what you experienced. I have had many visits from spirits and premonitions of sad events, my whole life long.
Your story and your telling of it, is chilling. I cannot imagine the wisdom and understanding of life you gained through this remarkable journey. I want to see your art. There is a reason I came upon this interview with you.
    Thank you. ❤

No one ever made me feel that way as a child. It makes me so happy that you grew your heart back. I try my best to be my best everyday. Especially for my children. Also a loving touch is so important to children. I still have a problem with it in my relationships. It literally overwhelms me to be touched too much. What a powerful story. I felt like I was there with you. ❤
About “bad” people, or people that make damaging choices: I work in a mental facility and I see humans, every day, making actions from places they can never mend. Some of these people are trying very hard to do the right thing, but they have neurological damages, that are physical brain abnormalities that affect their choices.
Some of those people are still walking the streets.
If you’re looking for ways to forgive, please remember the violence may have just come from a place that they (souls) chose to come here and experience. No one is judging on the other side. It’s all experiential here. Nonetheless, I grieve for your loss of childhood, I am certain you have already been here many times before. Perhaps thousands of times. ❤❤❤ Bless you Robin, for holding this space for our opportunity to hear you and find healing as well. ❤❤❤
