I like that Vegeta was happy that Goku went SS3 and that Goku remembered how heartbroken Vegeta was when he found out he didn't use SS3 in the Buu Saga when they fought because Goku wasn't going all out.

@@BigVEEThat’s not what a Jobber is. It’s funny because Vegeta’s entire run in the series was basically jobbing to every villain before goku or someone else arrived. SSJ 3 only lost to two characters in the series while Vegeta lost to literally every main villain in Z and Super.

I wish they made Vegeta turn SSJ3 in this dlc. It would have made this way more awesome! But then, that goes to show you that transformations alone aren’t what counts. It’s how well you train and fight with a burning desire to keep going. Vegeta will always remind me of that. 👍🏼
I agree. Plus, I feel it was always implied that only Goku could have achieved SSJ3. Not because he has more potential, but because he was allowed to keep his body in otherworld. Goku struggled to maintain it when he was brought back to life, so SSJ3 was really only attainable and practical due to his unique situation.

Goku used it more and more throughout the time in Super for example, also in GT (yes not cannon i know) and even so goten and trunks needed to fuse, they were able to use SSJ3 pretty good. So i think Vegeta could achieve it, even so it would be harder for him, because he didn´t have the "easy start" in the afterlife.
There's an ancient dragonball rpg on the super nintendo called "Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu". It ended at the Namek Saga because the Cell Saga hadn't even aired but the final battle was between Goku and Vegeta. No one had a form advantage in that one.

That was explained because of Vegeta's rage pushed his SS2 slightly above Goku's SS3 but not much but Beerus humored him until he realized it had nothing to do with SSG so he easily took Vegeta out. This is the reason why Goku decided to stick to Super Saiyan 1 and 2 tho and barely use Super Saiyan 3 because the Stamina drain isn't worth it when you can power up Regular Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 to surpass the power of super Saiyan 3 and not have immense Stamina drawback

@@AMysticLegend super sayain 3 is by far stronger than super sayain 1 and 2 forms. The official lore is that super sayain 3 doesn't drain physical stamina, it uses up all the ki reserves. It's a form designed to very quickly end a battle with ALL the power a sayain has at once. It would only be maintainable if the sayain had legendary status and didn't lose energy at all during a fight, like broly.
Dragon Ball Z has always made me have a purpose in my life through martial arts it helped me in everything! of course there was so much meaning in the story of what Toriyama did I loved it!
not going to lie, the plotline toriyama made for Dragon Ball Online was interesting. It followed after the og ending; Goku and Vegeta last fight actually ended with both dying (they're already reached their prime before hitting their decline by old age). Afterwards it was Earth thriving with the saiyans descendants, buu and even the namekians. We got some remnants of it in Xenoverse but I wish it existed another game with similar style and story. Not the Z Fighters but their descendants protecting their world like they did (hell, even humans stand a chance now thanks to their saiyan ancestry)

I wish this rematch happened in the canon. Vegeta was so devastated and felt disrespected that Goku held back SSJ3 against him. He deserved this rematch even if he is outmatch. Its not about winning. Its about pride. In a filler episode in Naruto Shippuden, Naruto(who just recently defeated Pain and has Sage mode) didnt hold back against Konohamaru(was still a genin kid back then) even if there is a vast difference in power. Naruto cant bring himself to disrespect his opponent by holding back. I know Goku had priorities back then. He didnt want SSJ3 ki to awaken Buu at the time. But regardless, this rematch where Goku goes SSJ3 against Vegeta shouldve happened in OG DBZ. Im glad we at least see it here in the game.
He also didn't go SSJ3 during their fight because he had hardly used it which is why it took so long for him to transform during his plan to stall Buu and it had nearly exhausted all the time he had left on earth and it was so much that King Kai was highly against him using it and was trying to get him to stop.

@@ronki23 this DLC is based on the original End of Z, for which DBS events do not apply. The original End of Z is not canon for DBS as many thing would be incoherent. Toriyama made the End of Z wayyy before DBS, for him that was the true finale of DBZ at that time Vegeta doesnt use SS3 as he knew that he could achive equal power by just perfecting SS2. It comes from a concept given by Toriyama: SS2 and SS3 are simply empowered variations of the ordinary SS. When the SS is truly perfected, those variations become useless and the saiyan can use all the power of SS3 just as a SS, without the energy drain or the stress. SS2 and SS3 can also he perfected to waste less energy, but the optimal route to power is to perfect basic SS. In the DBS manga this concept is used by future trunks, who perfected SS2 to a point in which he was equal to SS3. Its the same form vegeta uses in this DLC

That was the whole point of the Cell saga: Goku had a slim chance of defeating Cell with Perfected SSJ1 but as soon as Cell exploded and regenerated, his Zenkai made him so powerful than nothing short of SSJ2 could destroy him. Toriyama (RIP) may have brought us DragonBall but he's very forgetful
You do realize he was too exhausted right? He used up pretty much all of his energy by being in Super Saiyan 3 And Kaioken in an exhausted or tired state could end up killing you or just temporarily crippling you. Not to mention this wasn't a serious fight so he had no reason to.
KK is gone in canon. AT just makes Gokek forget it. It isn't addressed in-verse why it isn't around (as with tails never coming back or zenkai going away). And SS forms beyond 'FPSS' (mastery of SS1) are worthless if you have KK. Using KK with SS3 would be beyond stupid (total self-destruction for no reason). Of course, KMHM matching GG is pure fanfiction when the two users are equal, but FF? Beyond safe copium levels. Gokek not jobbing to Vegeta is already this. The visuals look amazing but I hate the fact that vegeta uses that armor and the fight ended in a draw. Vegeta accept goku as number 1 and his outfit at the time showed the change he went through, he felt like an earthling at the end of z. Vegeta feels like he's going backwards once super started. Goku should've cleared this fight, ss3 is leagues stronger than ss2
1. It's supposed to be like a callback to their first fight. 2. It makes sense they'd draw because it shows just how strong and how much potential Vegeta has also to be able to match Goku. 3 The super saiyan forms are only as strong as the person's own strength and their mastery of the form. I think I'n the Manga and the anime Future Trunks had mastered Super Saiyan 2 to the point that it could almost match SS3 Goku's energy. I think even the creator said that 2 and 3 were just powered up versions of Super Saiyan and mastering Super Saiyan would push that power beyond those forms while also decreasing Ki consumption hence why Goku and Vegeta usually use Super Saiyan more than 2 and 3
Goku Base, Super Saiyan, 2, and Super Saiyan God faced a stronger Broly in the anime that Base Vegeta, Super Saiyan, 2, and God couldn't take on. And in the Manga Legendary Super Saiyan Broly could easily take on Perfected Blue Goku and Vegeta.
@@AMysticLegend Yeah, you're right. People tend to forget that those ascended SSJ forms are just multiplied versions of the original. Even Bog Vegeta and Black Arc Future Trunks went beyond the level of ordinary SSJ2s. All it takes is enough power in their standard states or a significant rage amp to push them over the limit, regardless of the form.

Goku and vegeta are equals in base, vegeta used an ascended SS2. Toriyama described in an interview that SS2 and SS3 as just variations of the SS that try to reach the full potential of the form. By perfecting to its maximun SS or SS2 the user can achive a ×400 multiplier to base, the same as SS3, without the energy drain of the form. SS3 can also be perfected to not drain as much energy as it usually does

To shine some light. This is a reference to the BOG film when Beerus slapped Bulma, Vegeta went SS2 form in rage and Roshi said he became stronger than Goku, guess that stuck. Also End of Z is 10 years after Buu, everything DB Super is 4 years after Buu, and Toriyama himself stated that they weren’t gonna redo the last episode over and that’s how he truly wants the DB franchise to end thus why they introduced UUB in the DB Super manga.

I agree. Plus, I feel it was always implied that only Goku could have achieved SSJ3. Not because he has more potential, but because he was allowed to keep his body in otherworld. Goku struggled to maintain it when he was brought back to life, so SSJ3 was really only attainable and practical due to his unique situation.

Goku used it more and more throughout the time in Super for example, also in GT (yes not cannon i know) and even so goten and trunks needed to fuse, they were able to use SSJ3 pretty good. So i think Vegeta could achieve it, even so it would be harder for him, because he didn´t have the "easy start" in the afterlife.

There's an ancient dragonball rpg on the super nintendo called "Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu". It ended at the Namek Saga because the Cell Saga hadn't even aired but the final battle was between Goku and Vegeta. No one had a form advantage in that one.

That was explained because of Vegeta's rage pushed his SS2 slightly above Goku's SS3 but not much but Beerus humored him until he realized it had nothing to do with SSG so he easily took Vegeta out. This is the reason why Goku decided to stick to Super Saiyan 1 and 2 tho and barely use Super Saiyan 3 because the Stamina drain isn't worth it when you can power up Regular Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 to surpass the power of super Saiyan 3 and not have immense Stamina drawback

@@AMysticLegend super sayain 3 is by far stronger than super sayain 1 and 2 forms. The official lore is that super sayain 3 doesn't drain physical stamina, it uses up all the ki reserves. It's a form designed to very quickly end a battle with ALL the power a sayain has at once. It would only be maintainable if the sayain had legendary status and didn't lose energy at all during a fight, like broly.

not going to lie, the plotline toriyama made for Dragon Ball Online was interesting. It followed after the og ending; Goku and Vegeta last fight actually ended with both dying (they're already reached their prime before hitting their decline by old age). Afterwards it was Earth thriving with the saiyans descendants, buu and even the namekians.
We got some remnants of it in Xenoverse but I wish it existed another game with similar style and story. Not the Z Fighters but their descendants protecting their world like they did (hell, even humans stand a chance now thanks to their saiyan ancestry)
Goku is so cute at the end how he is all pumped up about finding someone stronger to battle with

As for canon, there are no off-screen battles between them. Ever. No he refers to actual canon being shown where goku has repeatedly overpowered vegeta in every one of their fights shown. Their first fight was goku winning and vegeta needing to resort to becoming a great ape and won that second round. Their next fight was goku literally handicapping himself against vegeta using outside help to boost his strength just to tie and sneak goku after the match was already declared over with the only time vegeta actually getting an official win was in the super hero movie where they were in their base forms and he barely won.

Yeah, he was being smart for a tiny boost he likely didn't actually need, but whatever works. Tricked a wizard for an amp. This while Gokek got a tenfold multiplier back during the Pickle Senior incident via a cat giving him some lean (a fact, by the way). It is also how 'our hero' got ki sensing. Not earned since you care about this. Vegeta? Asspulls it. Like a boss.
This while GTku is horrible for the double dip (Oozaru twice) and ignoring his limits (lower than Gohan), canon had his firstborn do this (Guru and later Old Kai). The same potential unlocked twice (with a bonus). Result? Jobs anyway. Awful. No. You know nothing of what you speak. Majin Buu is not Mister/Good Buu. That one is less than half the meter. The other half was Evil Buu. Recall that Kid had a harder time beating Good Buu than Evil did. Neat, right? Because Goku was at about the level of Kid. Majin Buu was NEVER serious against him. He didn't need to be. No candy beam, no absorption. He wasn't even mad.
Vegeta annoyed him, so he got serious showing some of his actual power (Super Buu). That was a peek at a power Goku wouldn't even front against (he later admits he had been stupid trying to act cool all this time with Buu **he was never actually capable enough repeatedly overestimating himself and underestimating the enemy**). Vegeta STILL (somehow) hurt him (by Buu's admission). No idea how that differs from others blowing holes through him, but Buu wasn't telling it like a joke. Just how AT wrote it.
Back to that meter. 45% of it was SS2 Gohan. The other 55% was SS2 Goku (from getting the brakes beat off him by his prince for 4-0). Together this makes Super Buu who uses that power without being held back by goodness. For Majin Buu? He needs to get mad to dig deeper into his power reserves. Goku wasn't really ever 'in it'. He didn't have what it took. And that jobber form wasn't going to change that. he couldn't hang with Kid for a minute while SS2 Vegeta did more than that and then lapped it with BASE.

@@ronki23 this DLC is based on the original End of Z, for which DBS events do not apply. The original End of Z is not canon for DBS as many thing would be incoherent. Toriyama made the End of Z wayyy before DBS, for him that was the true finale of DBZ at that time
Vegeta doesnt use SS3 as he knew that he could achive equal power by just perfecting SS2. It comes from a concept given by Toriyama:
SS2 and SS3 are simply empowered variations of the ordinary SS. When the SS is truly perfected, those variations become useless and the saiyan can use all the power of SS3 just as a SS, without the energy drain or the stress. SS2 and SS3 can also he perfected to waste less energy, but the optimal route to power is to perfect basic SS.
In the DBS manga this concept is used by future trunks, who perfected SS2 to a point in which he was equal to SS3. Its the same form vegeta uses in this DLC

That was the whole point of the Cell saga: Goku had a slim chance of defeating Cell with Perfected SSJ1 but as soon as Cell exploded and regenerated, his Zenkai made him so powerful than nothing short of SSJ2 could destroy him. Toriyama (RIP) may have brought us DragonBall but he's very forgetful

You do realize he was too exhausted right? He used up pretty much all of his energy by being in Super Saiyan 3 And Kaioken in an exhausted or tired state could end up killing you or just temporarily crippling you. Not to mention this wasn't a serious fight so he had no reason to.
KK is gone in canon. AT just makes Gokek forget it. It isn't addressed in-verse why it isn't around (as with tails never coming back or zenkai going away). And SS forms beyond 'FPSS' (mastery of SS1) are worthless if you have KK. Using KK with SS3 would be beyond stupid (total self-destruction for no reason). Of course, KMHM matching GG is pure fanfiction when the two users are equal, but FF? Beyond safe copium levels. Gokek not jobbing to Vegeta is already this. Be happy you got a tie in your silly vidya. AT? Would NEVER do this. Would have been 5-0 (Vegeta is undefeated against Goku).

The visuals look amazing but I hate the fact that vegeta uses that armor and the fight ended in a draw. Vegeta accept goku as number 1 and his outfit at the time showed the change he went through, he felt like an earthling at the end of z. Vegeta feels like he's going backwards once super started. Goku should've cleared this fight, ss3 is leagues stronger than ss2
1. It's supposed to be like a callback to their first fight. 2. It makes sense they'd draw because it shows just how strong and how much potential Vegeta has also to be able to match Goku. 3 The super saiyan forms are only as strong as the person's own strength and their mastery of the form. I think I'n the Manga and the anime Future Trunks had mastered Super Saiyan 2 to the point that it could almost match SS3 Goku's energy. I think even the creator said that 2 and 3 were just powered up versions of Super Saiyan and mastering Super Saiyan would push that power beyond those forms while also decreasing Ki consumption hence why Goku and Vegeta usually use Super Saiyan more than 2 and 3
Goku Base, Super Saiyan, 2, and Super Saiyan God faced a stronger Broly in the anime that Base Vegeta, Super Saiyan, 2, and God couldn't take on. And in the Manga Legendary Super Saiyan Broly could easily take on Perfected Blue Goku and Vegeta.
@@AMysticLegend Yeah, you're right. People tend to forget that those ascended SSJ forms are just multiplied versions of the original. Even Bog Vegeta and Black Arc Future Trunks went beyond the level of ordinary SSJ2s. All it takes is enough power in their standard states or a significant rage amp to push them over the limit, regardless of the form.
@@150Hello Especially Goku in the DBZ Battle of Gods movie Super Saiyan 1-3 completely failed against Beerus but later on his body remembered and kinda imprinted on the God form and Super Saiyan 1 was able to match Beerus and Goku never noticed he fell out of his God form

That's worse than using SSj2 on SSJ1. If the base is relatively close, then SSJ1 stands no chance.
Most impressive Vegeta's SS2 is able to keep up with Goku's SS3 i'd even go as far to say he might be equal to Goku without the draw backs of SS3.

Goku and vegeta are equals in base, vegeta used an ascended SS2. Toriyama described in an interview that SS2 and SS3 as just variations of the SS that try to reach the full potential of the form. By perfecting to its maximun SS or SS2 the user can achive a ×400 multiplier to base, the same as SS3, without the energy drain of the form. SS3 can also be perfected to not drain as much energy as it usually does

To shine some light. This is a reference to the BOG film when Beerus slapped Bulma, Vegeta went SS2 form in rage and Roshi said he became stronger than Goku, guess that stuck. Also End of Z is 10 years after Buu, everything DB Super is 4 years after Buu, and Toriyama himself stated that they weren’t gonna redo the last episode over and that’s how he truly wants the DB franchise to end thus why they introduced UUB in the DB Super manga.
Probably the same form as Future Trunks in the Super manga. Its a Fully-Mastered SSJ2, which has the same power as SSJ3, but without the drawback.
