A16 doesn't self-destruct. it's possible that the Z warriors don't participate on the world tournamen. except, perhaps, gohan after videl's blackmail. if videl asks gohan to teach her how to fly, it's possible that goku/piccolo also help her learn. highly possible that gohan doesn't slack that much on his training and that vegeta has multiple chances to fight with goku so gohan would be able to defeat dabura and there would be no majin vegeta. babidi fails to release buu and the elder kai remains inside the sword since there will be no training with the Z sword. this means no fat buu. which also means buu won't get beerus mad.
The Z warriors probably will participate seeing how Goku asked for his 1 day on the day of the tournament. Heck they might see 18 there since she's in it for the money.

He was the one who suggested they should kill Goku first BEFORE going on their rampage. Were it not for him, they would've just started blasting shiz.
I’m of the opinion that the androids were the same in both timelines (aside from power levels due to butterfly effects). The difference is that in the main timeline, Goku was still alive so the androids still had a purpose; meanwhile in the og timeline, Goku was dead by the time they were activated so that killer instinct had nowhere to go.

I really like this what if. Despite Goku being weak compared to the androids and cell. His skill and experience really shows. Ofcourse 16 did most of the work. But it was said that because goku kept a calm mind, he was able to land more damge on 18, unlike Vegeta who was cocky and blindied by his own rage and ego. You dont have to necessarily be stronger physically to win a fight, skill and experience also could be a difference maker. It really shows how talented and a masterful martial artist goku is.
no man. goku and vegeta are relative, if not vegeta actually being slightly stronger during the early android fights. 18 destroyed vegeta with ease, 17 is a bit stronger. piccolo was equal to 17, and vegeta was panicking with how strong piccolo was. and cell was stronger than piccolo and 17 by the time he came upon their fight. goku gets stomped by any of the 4 androids, individually. goku decided on using the hyperbolic time chamber, BEFORE we found out about cell or his transformations. the HTC was meant to fight 16, 17, and 18, cause they were already out of their league.
Meanwhile Vegeta is training his ass off to defeat Cell and the Androids… He’s going to be pissed off when he finds out Goku defeated all four of them…
Love the dynamic of the Androids joining the Z-Fighters here at this point. Or just being powerful allies. Just the three of them touring the planet having fun, enjoying the sights and doing whatever. And then when a new world-ending threat comes along, they show up to help because "boredom". And with them being above Super Saiyan level, we know they'd be useful. Also love the idea of 17 joining the dynamic between Goku and Vegeta in loving to fight and prove himself and hanging with them most of the time. That'd just be so awesome.
Even though i kind of disagree with Goku's power scaling here, i really loved 17 and Goku's interactions together especially at the end. It was always one of my favorite moments in Super and it was a big treat to see it in a what if Z Scenario

I like how the “what ifs” can take place within the main story as a result of your choices, rather than them just being their own separate thing. This is one of the best examples I can think of. It’s especially cool when you know the story real well like I do!
Funny how in DBZ fighting games canon strength goes pretty much out the window. Here we have SSJ1 Goku defeat Cell, 18, 17 and 16 in a row, the latter in his base form. And no one questions it, haha.
I like that in the end the most severe, dangerous adventure in Kakarot's life and even for his son turned into his usual adventure, where he easily solves all the problems and changes all the enemies around him, like in the He-Man series, where he simply wins, but does not kill enemies, changes someone for the better, and gives instructions to children! 😁👍
In a way, the Goku button has been pushed since Vegeta did not finish the job in the main timeline. Androids 16 and 17 (temporary alliance on the sidelines) and Goku work together to defeat Imperfect Cell. Interesting storyline.
I liked hearing early 17 giving goku respect like a buddy before the fight, he likes a fun brawl, i always liked him, gero having more time to evily modify the future versions gave them high sadism levels, but man, fighting cell, being tired then fighting 18 then 17 then 16 and firing 3 spirit bombs probably causing a global genocide? This Goku has more reserves then hyper cell brags about lol

I believe the implication is that he simply held off Cell until 16 was able to join the fight and help end him hence the battle damage 16 has afterwards, that android is the only one there who could probably defeat Cell at that point. As far as the fights afterwards though, Goku is stated BY THE NARRATOR to be weaker than 18, all he did was goad her on, stay calm and punish any openings she had until she got bored, it wasnt a stomp in anyones favor. 17 and 16 were simply injured from their fights with Cell/Piccolo so all Goku really did was stall until they were satisfied. TLDR: Goku doesnt ever beat any android straight up in the actual cutscenes, they either get bored, are satisfied by the fight and end it there or are convinced to stop.

What if this Goku actually took the medicine that Trunks gave him? He would have trained in all of the time the androids were looking for him in the time chamber, assuming the androids vs Z fighters fight happened while he was training hard.
Now this is what video games should be able to do with well-established licenses. I hope the Arkham series someday has something like this. Imagine being able to find Jason in the first game?
Krillin went on living a single life and devoted himself to his training. While this meant Krillin was stronger, the lack of a connection with 18 could come back to bite them later down the line with the tournament of power.
I like how some of the animations in the cutscenes are a bit more realistic, but in a subtle way. (Ex. slightly more Hair and body movements on characters.)
The game is too kind to restore your health each fight. Imagine if we have to simulate Goku's tiredness by having to continue with what remaining health we have left.

I mean, there literally was no reason for Goku not to go to this fight. He had Instant Transmission and could join the fight at any time. If nothing else, he could have just popped in, grabbed #17 and #18 and pop back out. It would literally take like three seconds tops. The goal is to keep them as far away from Cell as possible to stop him going perfect. They’d be safer on the lookout with Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Tenshinhan and Popo looking after them than just letting them be absorbed.

I like that in the end the most severe, dangerous adventure in Kakarot's life and even for his son turned into his usual adventure, where he easily solves all the problems and changes all the enemies around him, like in the He-Man series, where he simply wins, but does not kill enemies, changes someone for the better, and gives instructions to children! 😁👍

In a way, the Goku button has been pushed since Vegeta did not finish the job in the main timeline. Androids 16 and 17 (temporary alliance on the sidelines) and Goku work together to defeat Imperfect Cell. Interesting storyline.

I really like how these "What If?" scenarios are presented in this game. This is probably one of my more favorite ones.
I liked hearing early 17 giving goku respect like a buddy before the fight, he likes a fun brawl, i always liked him, gero having more time to evily modify the future versions gave them high sadism levels, but man, fighting cell, being tired then fighting 18 then 17 then 16 and firing 3 spirit bombs probably causing a global genocide? This Goku has more reserves then hyper cell brags about lol

This what if is kinda goofy lol, kinda find it hard to believe Goku kept up this well against all 3 of the androids, by himself like lol. Still fun though
They're called "what if" for a reason. There is one of Goku beating the shit out of frieza whitout even the spirit bomb or ssj😂
I believe the implication is that he simply held off Cell until 16 was able to join the fight and help end him hence the battle damage 16 has afterwards, that android is the only one there who could probably defeat Cell at that point. As far as the fights afterwards though, Goku is stated BY THE NARRATOR to be weaker than 18, all he did was goad her on, stay calm and punish any openings she had until she got bored, it wasnt a stomp in anyones favor. 17 and 16 were simply injured from their fights with Cell/Piccolo so all Goku really did was stall until they were satisfied.
TLDR: Goku doesnt ever beat any android straight up in the actual cutscenes, they either get bored, are satisfied by the fight and end it there or are convinced to stop.

It doesn't help that at this moment in the story, Goku would literally be weaker than piccolo Crew got creamed myself. At least I assume so
To be fair, this is because I'm assuming that super Saiyan Goku was on par with super Saiyan Vegeta before they both went into the time chamber hence why Vegeta was so confident in his transformation when he first turned in front of everybody

What if this Goku actually took the medicine that Trunks gave him? He would have trained in all of the time the androids were looking for him in the time chamber, assuming the androids vs Z fighters fight happened while he was training hard.

As a fan of the android trio since I got into the series as a kid, this what-if story made my inner child so happy.

While this meant Krillin was stronger, the lack of a connection with 18 could come back to bite them later down the line with the tournament of power.
Back then in the late 90s, "training" became a thing for some of us only after watching Dragon Ball Z. This show had unique impacts on it's audience.
This is the first time I’ve seen Gokou meet Cell in his first form.
I like how some of the animations in the cutscenes are a bit more realistic, but in a subtle way. (Ex. slightly more Hair and body movements on characters.)

I mean, there literally was no reason for Goku not to go to this fight. He had Instant Transmission and could join the fight at any time. If nothing else, he could have just popped in, grabbed #17 and #18 and pop back out. It would literally take like three seconds tops. The goal is to keep them as far away from Cell as possible to stop him going perfect. They’d be safer on the lookout with Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Tenshinhan and Popo looking after them than just letting them be absorbed.
The problem is finding them then convincing them cell is big bad
