Now that Claas released their new Xerion 12.650, they might even gain some more market share in the US for high HP tractors. Those big Xerions don't have the cab turn feature anymore, but a lot of customers, especially in the US, only use the tractor for field work and maybe pulling a grain cart. So they won't miss it.
That is a cool tractor. I think it was interesting what he said about the rigid frame vs the articulated ones and the stability on top of the pile. I bet that crab walk feature comes in handy on the feed bunk! Thanks Jason!
The venom green and fire red is just amazing! Also CLAAS acquired all the knowledge from the Renault tractor company which for almost 30 years was probably the John Deere of Europe. They’re such an amazing brand!!
That is such a great feature. I would like to film one set up with blade on the back and cab rotated. I am not sure why that has not caught on in the U.S.
I remember seeing a Claas combine at the Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, GA a few years ago and it was cool to see especially with a Mercedes Benz diesel engine. That four wheel steering is just like those Case Traction King tractors back in the 1960-1980s. I read that in Europe that Claas had like a bidirectional tractor with a turning cab.
Correct. This one here in the EU configuration has the Turning cab, which they use ALOT for silage work in the EU. Exactly just like the old traction kings for sure, but with over 500hp
Very cool to get to see one and see what the ride along inside was like. I was surprised to hear you say that the power bulge amounts to only 13 HP. I believe you said it boosts from std 517 up to 530). It seems like most brands have a 40-60 HP bulge.
I'm curious about running a tractor with a CVT transmission. In cars, they're the most unreliable transmissions. Is there any difference in reliability of them in tractors?
Do you think with Deere moving some production to Mexico we are going to see more of the European brands in the U.S.? Farmers can be hard to read sometimes. Your thoughts?
@Phlebas9202fendt is doing well. Fendt is pushing the north American market like Class before but more aggressively. Fendt should open more manufacturing line in USA, for combines by example and being more "americanized". Fendt is between Germany and US mentality. Nobody 10 years ago, would hve thought than fendt will be that powerful in North America. Fendt was an strict European Brand and not everywhere. Fendt was mainly in Germany against class. As comparaison Class and fendt are like Case vs JD In north America. I would like to see a articulated 4w fendt with a big engine. Fendt has a presence in the middle of Missouri, near Alma.
Nice tractor. Very nice looking tractor. Next time, please, try to get the factory info on the rigid frame steering system. You included many details from the factory, BUT, this is a rigid frame tractor. Nothing was mentioned about whether or not you can get either a rigid frame and an articulated frame from the factory in this model. I am guessing the steering system is similar to the old Case Traction Kings in that it is all wheel steering. Just wondering. Love those old Case Traction Kings.
@@kygreenskeeper8326 I think it has something to do with road rules for how big they are, yeah I know it's weird for some, but Europe do have a lot more narrow roads in most countries.
@@purplerunner1715 absolutely.... I've seen those small rds and I wonder how you guys even pass on them... Lol... Much love and respect to our European brothers!
It is hard to spot, but it is just below the base of the cab on the right hand side. PS how much does a comparable Case Steiger CVT cost, this tractor seems very expensive.
I own an 8850 with the Deere V8. The Xerion 5000 offers 147 hp more that than the stock V8 at 370. The Claas weighs 23,800 lbs more than the 8850. This Xerion is running a 33ft ProTill at 11 mph. I would say the 8850 would run a 20ft Pro Till well.
That's some power. I run a great plains 20' high speed disc with a fendt 930 and it's all it can take.

What a beast Jason.... I love the looks of just about every modal they make..

They are cool and are nice to run.
In germany we push with the rear 3 piont Hitch and turn the cab. This Thing wars purpose build for it.

For curiosity sake, may I ask why? 👍
@@diggersdiecast8879 I am not sure. It may not be promoted to farmers here as an option. If I was farming it would use it.
In Germany you barely have space to operate large tractors. Still there with your fake green agenda, and chill out.
That’s only the VC models right? Fendt also has it as option in the 900 series.

I love the wagon wheel effect watching those tires!
Nice looking machine. Great fuel consumption. Pulling a Degelman too. Very cool video Jason.
The Xerion is a really nice option for 4 Ed power on the farm.
What a machine my Grandfather would have loved this tractor .
Thanks for the great videos !
I look forward to watching
Love the farmers
Nice 👍
Another nice video big T 👍👍👍
Cool tractor 🚜 nice to hear the farmers take on it as well...
Great video, very nice to see a 5000 Claas

Really reminds me of the old Case 4wd tractors.
I am very lucky to drive this machine, it is very modern.
30 mph on the road!? That's booking, sure does sound like a fabulous transmission in this.
Technology is getting better and better
The xerion is a powerful machine for sure😄💪 a farm near me is pushing silage with one, that's definitely cool to see😁👍
You and your family have
A super💯weekend.
I see the run their wipers in the middle of the windshield like the chopper does, neat lookin tractor
thats a great rig.

Hi from Dexter🏠Missouri
Do the 4wd's have Renault lineage like the row crop tractors. Impressive machine.
Unrealted question but have you ever recorded one of the vermeer self propelled balers?

What ever happened to the 2024 big bud production? Thank for the content you share.
I have not heard any updates.
Hes got a trusty 2630 for gps monitor . What we run in our claas combines
Howdy bigtractorpower
Hi. Thank you for watching the Xerion.
Wonder how compatible the Deere guidance system is with the claas equipment.
It works well. It plugs right into the tractor.
What brand of tires do they use on it ?
Mitas
Do you think with Deere moving some production to Mexico we are going to see more of the European brands in the U.S.? Farmers can be hard to read sometimes. Your thoughts?
Imo only if said brands build up a much stronger dealer network. That’s the main thing holding them back from being competitive here to begin with.
Depends if they sell here. If there's a demand for them, then they probably will make it. If not, they will be the next Suzuki.
You are buying a lot more foreign metal in your "USA" brands than you think, very little is made in the US as farm equipment goes
You can move to Mexico or you can let the U@W take you out.

I hope is talking about fuel per acre than hour? Still impressive
What is a bunk?
As always.
Viele deutsche Zuschauer am Start 😁
Is that simply a large weight on the front?
Could be for a weight since they have a weight in the EU on these
A small fun fact in most of Europe the Class Xerions are not classified as a tractor, but a tool carrier.
Why do they call it that instead of tractor?

Hello! Mean German Machine...
"0.3/0.5 gallons per acre"!

Mercedes powered .
Strong engine.
If thats us price its 1080000 Canadian pesos
Daft question Jason but what is that attachment on the front of the Claas Xerion? Many thanks and you have a great channel.
I think they put the blade on it, to move silage on the bunk. It's just a fixed attachment instead of the weights which are usually put there.
@@Tranlock Many thanks sir, As you might have gathered I am not a farmer but love watching videos like Jason's.
