Boomerangs are a dime a dozen, but I have to admire the amount of effort that was put in to give this one a theme. I'd say it's the best-themed Boomerang anywhere now, but despite that, it's still a Boomerang, and I did experience a bit of headbanging in the cobra roll even with the new restraints. I'm honestly surprised the park decided to do this refurbishment on Sidewinder; before this was announced I would have bet money on it getting removed in the next few years. I think the work was worth it, and with the addition of Mix'd we now have a lively new area near Storm Runner. It's not a must-ride, but if the line is short, it's worth checking out.
nice video! havnt been to hersheys park since 08 when Fahrenheit opened i love that ride! i hate boomerangs tho but this seems tempting with the improvements and scent smoke
I’m happy with the theming because this wasn’t a good ride before and so the theming really looks like it helps the ride. Candymonium is already a good ride and so the meh theming passes
That is a really cool way to revamp boomerang coasters as they continue their duty to be a little step up on family rides and an introduction to inversions
I think ride intensity is a 10. Boomerangs are among the most intense coasters in the world, which I think is the reason why many people don't like them. It can be too much. My head is always spinning at the end, and I like that. I enjoy all the Boomerangs, vest restraints or standard, but I prefer the vests so that I don't have to lean my head forward. I like what they've done with theming on this one.
I was in line to ride Sidewinder but with only 5 minutes until park closing, I decided to go to SDL to get my younger brother on his first inversion. I’ve yet to ride a boomerang, so this might be lowkey fun for me.

I only rode this as Sidewinder back in 2016 I was too early when I went this year
i really liked sidewinder when i rode it because of the comfortable experience for a boomerang and this is a step-up for sure

I would think with the new money spent on the ride they would have added an extra train or two to help with capacity ☺️!!

Their are 6 flavors from what I’ve seen
I didn't like it it crushed my shoulders and gave me head bang
