  • Through our interviews on intercultural dialogue, we are pleased to share today an interview with Dr. Bakhtiar Amin, Dr. Omar Rifai, Ambassador Ulrika Sundberg, Dr H.A. Hellyer and Ambassador Hesham Youssef.
While Dr. Amin highlights the importance of recognizing individuals from different ethnic, religious, or political backgrounds as a key principle for effective intercultural dialogue, Dr. Rifai underscores the fundamental role of intercultural dialogue in building relationships between peoples and cultures.
Ambassador Sundberg draws attention to the need for finding commonalities among diverse groups, especially between the northern and southern Mediterranean regions, due to their significant interconnectedness. Dr. Hellyer points out that historical dialogues between cultures have been essential for cooperation and prosperity, while a lack of dialogue can lead to conflicts and crises. And Ambassador Youssef addresses the efforts of the Dialogue Institute and Sweden in promoting dialogue on various issues, underlining the importance of continuing these initiatives to advance intercultural understanding
