Roblox moderation is so god awful that you can literally get banned for calling out predators if you use the wrong word (I would guess probably even saying the word predator).

They ban a pedophile for a little bit while they were on the news and then unban them when everyone forgot. Ruben Sim did videos on it and showed proof hoe the company defends pedophiles and we make games showed proof as well and showed child gambling and child labor. Roblox should be deleted soon before kids get killed by pedophiles etc. And they already have. Where I live. Roblox is used as a roblox rape kill tool. They lure kids to go to a place and rape and kill the victim. Some go to jail and some don't. 40% of people who commit crimes get away so.
I am a retired player and I did have my share of weird encounters but I'm glad I wasn't dumb enough to fall for anything suspicious.
Semi-retired player here, and honestly sometimes it’s completely unavoidable. There was at one point in time an exploit on Roblox where just by viewing a message from a scammer, not replying in any way or clicking any link, would give your security cookie to them. No idea how it worked, but I imagine scams will get crazier than that just a few short years from now.
Hi im not a retired player (im 13 year old teen so thats why) and there isnt really much pedo in the game i play they are mostly in games that 5 year old play and i never saw someone suspicious just others like some using bypassed clothing (clothing that roblox was supposed to ban but it got past the moderation) but those are 11 year olds that say they are 16 and i cringe at those like its just embarrasing
As a player since 2014, I've never seen anything strange on the platform, but definitley there is terrible moderation.
I've seen bad things and good things and met some amazing people but also the worst people ever the moderation has been crappy ever since roblox was made the only thing I want is for it to be the same as it was 10 years ago

I remember that one time when I was a kid. I installed Roblox and it said that it was for young audience such as kids. Few years later, Roblox suddenly became a 12+ game

as a veteran roblox player (started playing it at 7-8 and I'm now 20) it really isn't surprising that the rabbit hole of roblox related ridiculous and inappropriate shit goes this deep. its always been like this, just with varying levels of filtering and moderation through the years. with roblox recently adding in voice chat, 17+ features and games, and most recently (literally this last week) adding face tracking capabilities so you can use your camera vrchat style, it'll only get worse.
It seems like they're really wanting to gain and keep the teen-young adult audience like myself that plays for nostalgia and have been playing since they were kids without having to lose their biggest cash cow: actual kids under 16. Whatever they do do keep these groups separate will never ever work, and their existence in the first place is more risk than I think its worth.

I have been playing Roblox since 2015, and I joined in August of 2015. When I joined into a voice chat sever, there was grown men flirting with minors. To be honest, I feel like Roblox made a horrible mistake when they added voice chat. I got falsely banned "for bullying and harrassment" when i wasnt even talking i played music the whole time but im glad got banned ive heard some horrible shit voice chat and i dont wanna go back

This really hit hard. As a person who has a younger sister who has experienced this, it hurts.
My younger sister was on Roblox and she is 8 and she was playing with someone. A girl.
I wanted to play with her because I was bored and i wanted to spend time with her since I would be moving out soon in a few years so I asked her and she said she was busy and was playing with someone so I was like “okay” and I didn’t think much of it but that was when I noticed she was always with that one girl. The one she was playing with. At first I thought maybe she just really likes playing with that girl and I thought she was about her age . But then one day I joined her in a game and I asked my sister how to do something in the game because I don’t play it as much as her so she told me and that girl came up to me and asked my sister “who’s this?” And I said I was her sister and she was like “ew” and I was offended so we had an argument because i was in a bad mood at that time, after that my sister needed to go to the bathroom so she went and it was only me and her in the game so I asked her how old she was and she said she was 16. 16… FRICKING 16. 8 YEARS OLDER THAN MY SISTER SHES HALF THAT GIRLS AGE.
Then after she said she mistyped and was meant to say 9. So I was annoyed because I knew she was lying. Right after my sister came out of the bathroom I told her to unfriend that girl and she was confused because I hadn’t told her anything so she was saying “No, she’s my friend!” Then I asked her to give me her phone ( don’t ask why she has a phone at 8 😭 ) so I had it and then I looked at her roblox chat, when I did I saw that “16 year old girl’s” chat with my sister and I saw her asking about her.. she was asking “How old are you?” “Where do you live?” “Wanna be friends?” I was absolutely disgusted. Now, my sister obviously hasn’t had the “online stranger” talk so she didn’t know and she’s really young so I don’t blame her. Luckily she didn’t give our address, she said what country we lived in but didn’t give the address. After this, I exposed that girl. I told my brother too because my sister didn’t want to unfriend her. I have an older brother so I told him because he’s really mature. After I did he told her not to be friends with her and was disgusted too. After all of this she unfriended her. But after I saw her username so I clicked on it. Turns out she’s lesbian.. now I’m not homophobic but an older girl who is a lesbian hanging out with a 8 year old… is quite concerning and apparently she was trying to force her be lesbian. I don’t know if she liked her but it is disturbing.

My sister is also 8 and we caught her having a “girlfriend” and apparently 2 boyfriends on Roblox. She unfriended them before we even found out since they apparently had an argument so we had no idea who they were or how old but she did admit to it and she was banned from playing roblox again. I try to keep an eye on her and she’s not allowed to be on a device unless someone is near her since she often watches stuff she shouldn’t. It’s very scary to think about they people who would try to talk to younger people and influence them in terrible ways. Your sister shouldn’t have a phone at her age, I hope that you and your parents will keep an eye on her because you might think “she’s young, she won’t do anything!” But the internet is not a safe place for kids and they dan be influenced so easily that it’s actually scary. I hope you both stay safe

I started playing at 8, im 16 now, roblox really isnt a kids game anymore, but the fact that kids are the ones promoting and operating these activities on roblox, and even going as far as hunting predators, I think science should start looking into puberty more deeply and the minds of children.

related to the "showing a kid something innapropriate", i used to play an admin game where many people would try to build things and fight with gears (weapons) from commands. It wasn't too abnormal for people to use bypassed decals of, uhm, adult anime, and plaster it across the entire game, games like this were mostly played by people under 10.

As a Roblox player myself I can say the moderation is something that can only be changed with a lawsuit, which is just sad.
QUICK LITTLE NOTE: The reason why the roblox forums were discontinued in the end of 2017 was due to a quackity raid a few weeks before, it basically broke the forums and at one point(if i recall correctly) u could not post in the forums at all due to how big in scale the raid was.

Spam bots actually used to spam advertisements in a lot of games, and it was impossible for even me and my specific taste in games to avoid them. Thankfully their appearance practically ceased existence inside of games, now only occassionally appearing in groups and catalog items.

As somebody who grew up playing roblox, there’s a lot that people don’t talk about. One being the major presence of nazis and other extremists trying to indoctrinate children. I knew somebody who was like 15 and brought his younger brother into a nazi group with him. Roblox has been battling with nazis since 2010 and still to this day. There was some serious messed up stuff I saw

I've been on Roblox since 2006. It's insane how I never managed to run into a single person like that. But I guess preds make up less than a minority of the community.

People would often say that Roblox would've continued to be great if Eric was still alive. And I believe them, really if they were one of which who was on Roblox back when he was still around, even playing in servers with him; because, many companies, games, etc. would begin to hit their downfall early if someone was to quit, be fired, or die.
The fact that I’ve been groomed online three times all on Roblox, all of these happened when I was younger, I was just playing gacha online trying to make some friends but anytime I tried making friends they quickly became lewd and one of them asked me to “take off my shirt” for a “dare” and I left the game before it happened, same thing happened with the second and third time, sorry for venting it’s just nice to see someone finally discuss how problematic Roblox is in a way I can actually understand:)❤

About bots, I never knew I was being stalked by them until I watched this video. They would follow my every move and they sometimes don’t even have a username. Thanks so much Visual Venture for telling us about the dangers of Roblox.
I’d also like to point out a serious problem on the game “pls donate”. The game itself is amazing, and the developer is very charitable, putting hundreds of millions back into the game by donating to other users. I’ve noticed an influx of spam bots, who would claim a stand and start either posting messages in the chat trying to get users do donate to them, or completely spamming the chat with advertisements. Some bots impersonate famous TH-camrs and earning thousands of Robux on it. Some even have a delay to when they post a message to make it seem like they are real people. It’s also quite easy to expose a bot when you try saying “bot” or “scam/scammer”. It’s sad to see a game as incredible as this to be polluted by heartless scammers trying to take advantage of children.

Ruben Sim was amongst the only TH-camrs who truly cared about the future of Roblox as a platform for young children and adults to coexist without the latter creating trouble for the former. But look what they did, they sued the guy who wanted to do good. I feel Ruben is a real chad for still continuing his mission to make Roblox good again, I hope more people and devs start supporting him if they want to enjoy the good ole roblox.

@@doge9139 Ruben Sim's Tweets start unnecessary drama in the community, and he tells his followers to mass report people. His fans have doxed and SWATed people, and even though he doesn't directly tell them to do that, he starts everything his fans finish. He's never condemned them either.
The reason that it has ever gotten this bad is because contrary to what you said; they are not using the optimal moderation techniques. They are cutting costs on moderation to save money and turn a bigger profit at the expense of their players' safety. It is frankly inadequate, and will continue to harm many, many children unless the government comes down on Roblox.

as a roblox player, honestly its getting worse. hackers are spreading making kids cry, once someone even asked my best friend where she lived.. the moderation is bad and reporting someone barely makes a dent, these children are trying to have fun and yet people ruin the whole experience by either s3xual or uncanny stuff. and roblox does nothing about it. all they care about is just the site themes and other things that don’t matter, and i’ve seen so many inappropriate games on roblox. people lure kids into online dating and doing questionable things. im not saying what but you probably know.
When I was a kid I was playing freeze tag and someone hacked it (It was a really big game at the time) and someone ended up putting Pepe everywhere and gave everyone a male private

I've been playing Roblox for a while. I don't play often anymore, but I still do have several memories of seeing innapropriate things on the platform. I remember one time, a few years ago, joining my friend in a game called "Tix Simulator" (or something like that) and being shocked to see what I had joined. It was a p0rnographic, disgusting "game" that I would have never expected to find on a "kids" website. The worst part was, my younger cousin and sister were watching me. Not long ago, I was playing with a different friend, on a game that was pretty popular. Everything was going normal until I found someone had put up a p0rnographic image on a stand for everyone in the game to see. It was taken down eventually, but it was still disturbing, especially considering that young kids were probably on the server. Be careful on Roblox

A while back I played this roblox game called "The Town" daily. It was a simple sandbox shooter kind of game that was meant for 13 in up beacuse of its light blood. Players are aloud to build things in the game and import pictures into the game. Day by day I started noticing GORE everywhere. It was not just a small hole it was like faces cut off and stuff. Roblox is a horrifying place and please keep safe on the app. If your a small kid you should get your Parents to TURN OFF your chat settings so you can not talk to anyone or see any chats. That is the best idea to do it.

The fact is, Roblox is a great platform with really fun games but because of the community it gets so much hate and is called a game for pedophiles and children, when really, it isn’t even hard to avoid them. You can do the obvious, block them, close chat, ignore them, or just play in a private server.

The bots section is correct for the time period those clips were made, but as mentioned in the video the captcha update removed all bots and i havent seen a single one in years afterwards so you are making it out to be a bigger problem than it is. I've played Roblox for a while now and the amount of predators and groomers I have found is terrifying.
Even in the most innocent looking games, I have found things that no child should be exposed to. Some examples are:
• A note in an Adopt Me board encouraging players to search for XXX content
• Players pretending to have sex in Brookheaven, Adopt Me and even in animal simulators, such as Dinosaur World or Warrior Cats Ultimate Edition
• Spam and shady links. Once I even found one bot promoting crypto
• Condo and fetish games
• People trying to groom kids to give them their real age, number and social media
Ok so I have a story 😅. When I was younger me and some friends joined this game called life in paradise. And when we joined this game we decided to start a role play. We asked a few people if they could play with us in our role play. After a while we meet this guy (idk his user, but I would tell you) he said something along the lines of “hey! My brother made a game and I will role play with u if you can join and test the game out!” As a kid would, me and my friends all said yes. We all friended this guy and joined him (the game was named untitled I think) but when we joined it was a bedroom with purple led lights. me and my friends thought it was cool until we clicked the side bar and all these inappropriate poses and things u could add onto your character were there. Me and my friends didn’t really know what this was until my friend asked her sister… her sister told us to leave and report the game fast. Idk if the game is still running, but I don’t think it is and Ty for reading this if you do! Be safe! ❤

It's filled with toxic people and predators since it is a children game, and don't say "Oh but it says it is for 12 and above only!" No, there a lot of 6 and 8 year olds who play the game. Games aren't going to ask for your ID, to check if you're 12 and above, they are just going to let you download the game and give them money for useless robox.

As someone who joined roblox when it was starting to grow in popularity, it used to be a lot more fun without the bots, preds, and other dangers it had. It hurts to see the game I grew up with support these preds and not even do anything about them unless they are pressured by their community. I supported how roblox was adding more age ratings but making it sexual on a kids game is crazy.

I am a Roblox player, I do admit there are some messed up games/people such as clubs, bars and “vibe places”. Games such as the dday game however I would not say is a bad thing, if anything it’s a way for military/history enthusiast to gather and play an accurate military rp/Milsim. I feel like Roblox has changed and become more “mature”, political, romantic and violent and in general just unsafe.

Also " Club Vertical [17+] " wich is acording to Roblox anything 17+ is suppose click a box making the player verify there age with a State Isused ID " but Vertical didn't have that the game also has roulette table ( gambleing) . But another 17+ game "club Miami " did have the age verifying . My question to Mark is
