I once lived in Thousand Oaks, in a nice gated community next to Amgen. But the wild fire, the earth quake, and the sheer suburbia boredom, I hated it so much, I packed up and moved back to NYC. But watching your video, knowing exactly where every spot the video is taken brought back a lot of sentimental feelings. Thanks for video.

I have lived in Thousand Oaks for 50 years and found your tour quite humorous. Beautiful video, but please do more research about the cities you visit. You’ve given lots of misinformation about the hospital, the residents, and history. You didn’t actually show the hospital, just some medical offices... and the neighborhood nearby is for just doctors patients?? LOL! The town was founded by Scandinavians, who all died... craziness 🤣! All residents are retired policemen with bushy mustaches? Thanks... It was worth the watch for the laughs!

Their neighborhoods look like every subdivision in southern states of America. Especially with the walls surrounding the neighborhood.

The oaks mall. Or going north, there is a big shopping section in Moorpark. Or going to malibu.

Do you do these to give future home owners a glimpse of the area? If so that's pretty cool, but yea missed one of the jewels of T.O.....Wild Wood Regional park. Its has over 3000 acres of a nature preserve that has well over 27 miles of hiking and mountain biking. That trail head yea saw at Lynnmere (gated community) is part of that trail system.

I loved Thousand Oaks and I miss visiting there a lot, it's known for shopping areas and some activities but the labor market is impoverished (or mean to say tedious) and the cost of living is too high. The Christmas decorations there are enticing, though.

i grew up here, and have mixed feelings about it.
pros: quiet, nice location, beautiful scenery in the mountains
cons: sprawling, car dependent, no downtown, no identity, no culture, painfully boring, forced to commute for work

Well too be fair, it’s hard to compete with the rest of LA that is known for culture. Maybe this place be more liked, if it’s not in LA county

Aaron Romano the mall is NOT located in the downtown area. There is actually a downtown Thousand Oaks area that is currently being revitalized. Google it.

You probably know by now, but pretty much there are two “downtown” areas. The more modern one is going north and south on Moorpark Blvd. between the 101 Fwy and Janss Road. The real old town is going east and west on Thousand Oaks Blvd. between Moorpark and Erbes. Worked there for 12 years. I miss it everyday. :)

way better than all of those termite like buildings, in big cities, where everybody is crowded into one small area towering up towards the sky, and crime levels are rampant, and the streets are like columns of of soldier ants, looking for more food to drag back to the mother hive, and new areas to occupy and control
