For everyone complaining about her getting 16 years...she will even do far less time than that.Depending on what state the trial was in,good behavior credit and her time already served, she will be free in a short time. The justice system is as broken as the rest of America. Most people just don't know how bad it really is.
I live in Missouri and from what I have heard, you can estimate it by nine months behind bars is a "year" under our system. So approximately twelve calendar years. She will come out at about forty five and find another victim.
I do, and she will be out in 10!!! Prob less than that if she slithers on top of the right supervisor!!! Let's just be honest: As far as prisoners go, she's a looker...
I agree . We watched a coup attempt on TV live as a nation and that traitorous man is literally rerunning for president . Our nation's judicial system is broken 😢
They say the majority of homicide, is done by the people around you, NOT by random strangers robbing you. It could be your friends, families, gf/bf, wife/husband, business partners. This reminds me of another case, the wife poisoned the soup, then fed it to her husband. She was in love with a famous movie star, so she thought if she killed her husband, she would be with this other dude. He didn't die, survived, the whole thing unravel. They had a daughter. So now the wife is begging the husband to forgive her. But the daughter & husband won't talk to her at all.
So, "I wanted my old boyfriend to come with me to keep me safe but he shot my husband, so I picked up my kids and claimed I found my husband dead from a snake bite. Then I blamed my brother-in-law." Makes sense.
Yeah. Why would she lie if her brother in law did it? Makes no sense. To protect him? Or protect this ex convict she said went with her to protect her?
these kinds of deflectors and deniers LOVE to target some of the best people. They surround you while shopping, at work, and just on any weekend evening stroll. We are a morally corrupt, cowardly, and facile people. How did our grandmothers drive rivet and our grandfathers storm the beaches of Normandy only to have it squandered in the successive generations. How DID we become so totally p'owned (or whatever this is)?!
If some other person kills your husband and you weren't expecting it, you're not going to sit through hours of interviews with cops trying to protect the dude. She's 100% guilty.
These stories always seem to involve really good people married to dishonest sociopaths...I think he was so focused on his snake business and had such a naive, trusting nature, he saw her for what she was far too late. He never should have married this witch.
Sickened when hearing prosecution granted her immunity for being state witness. Despicable. As much as seeing poison wife's defence nodding at/accepting the 13yr sentence.
Surprised she wasn't charged with pre meditation. She tried with a drug cocktail to get rid of her husband, when that didn't work she started online dating to precur a scapegoat/fallguy while trying to keep her hands clean. If she was abused as she claimed, where are the police reports and 911 calls? Packed up shop and got out of dodge immediately after the dirty deed was done, which she should've done that from the start. Can't leave empty handed. Life insurance was the motive.
That's EXACTLY what I thought -- she really reminded me of Amber Heard on the stand ... especially her "my dog stepped on a bee" face after her sentencing.
The difference is staggering... Between her fake-crying on the stand and her real tears after she heard the verdict. I feel so sorry for the children. She's truly a monster for putting her children through that. I'm glad they have a kind uncle who will raise them.
In real life it is the same those who most expose the objects of their faith. They are suspicious people for me. It is a form of deceiving the environment and oneself. They sit in the first pews in church and for animals and other people they are barbarians. That is my experience. I am wary of people who are excessively religious.
I googled "Ben and Lynlee Renick" to see if she'd sold the entire acreage (where both Ben and Sam and their families lived) when she sold everything after she killed him. She sold the property for $740,000 in 2018. A judge decided, as of August 2022, that she was ineligible to earn any money from Ben's remaining estate (yea, judge!) and an administrator asked that Ben's daughter be considered the sole heir to Ben's estate. Ben's brother Sam is grateful that Judge Scheibe stopped Lynlee from being able to collect anything from Ben's estate. I was hoping she'd left Sam's "half" alone, but she was a greedy, evil b**ch so I'm sure she sold it ALL (the article didn't clarify).
So does that mean she has to give the daughter the money ? I am sure there isn’t a lot left after the years. Thank you for searching- I was wondering what exactly happened with the farm.
The jury should be ashamed for carrying out a travesty of justice. I hope her kids, family members and friends never speak to her, or speak of her. She deserves to be forgotten for the rest of her life.
Whenever someone calls 911 and instead of IMMEDIATELY giving their address or answering the dispatchers questions they start with "I just got home and my blah blah was on the ground bleeding"... THEY.ARE.GUILTY!!!
What's going on? She plotted and attempted different methods of killing him before succeeding, why only 2nd degree? The evidence that convicted her of 2nd is that exact same evidence that showed it was planned, so again, why?? Please stop letting certain people have less punishment for crimes, it is unfair and NOT justice. I say that as a woman. I have brothers, men that I love. Their lives are not worth less.
I like the thought that snakes were by far the most harmless predators in this sad story.. and oh yes, if your high school fling wants to “reconnect” when she’s tired of being bounced around .. just say no and save yourself from this snake pit.
How could she be guilty and only have to spend 16 years for such a heinous crime? She should have gotten at least that amount of time for trying to pin the crime on the brother.
It’s absolutely horrifying that people are allowed to breed snakes in little boxes stacked to the ceiling in their garages. That is no way to exist for a living creature 😞 bad people that see them as dollar signs > breeders.
I love snakes and I absolutely agree that stacking them in Tupperware is a gross practice. It's cheap and low maintenance, even though the breeders make enough to house them respectively.
better to just not get married. system is designed for women to legally rob you in divorce. no idea why someone would sign a contract that gives someone complete power of them.
Revenge of the Snakes🐍 If I were a snake and someone kidnapped me for his TH-cam channel, only gave me warmed mice from the freezer to eat and locked me in a stupid little box for the rest of my life, i would unalive him too!
Defense attorneys, especially the ones defending this murderer lady make me sick. Shame on them. that's insane that she only got 16 years. She will be out in 5-6 years with good behavior, less than 40 years old and rich from all the money of her husband's death.
It's disgusting that even after the fact, they still consider their convicted murderer client's story the "truth". Unless they have to for some legal rule.
"You never wanted Ben dead???" Girl shut!! You kept lieing about who killed him even blaming his brother. Girl kept sleeping around and scheming against her husband then wanted sympathy.. 16 dang years?? That's way too dang light!!!
Y did they charge her 4 second degree instead of first degree she had motive intend evidenced through a failed prior attempt of committing homicide against her husband
I’ve never understood that mentality either. She met the bf. She drove him there. He packed the heat. No matter which one actually pulled the trigger (although I believe she was the one). But no matter, they acted as one. Therefore they are both equally guilty. If I were him, I’d sue for more equitable sentencing.
16 YEARS WOW ...INJUSTICE , SHE DESERVES SO MUCH MORE. JURY GOT IT WRONG. I LOVED THE JUDGE'S STATEMENT AT LEAST HE HAD A CHANCE TO CONFRONT HER. LIKE THEY SAY IF YOU GUILTY HOPE YOU FIND A STUPID JURY AND SHE DID

@daveshangar6820, the worst part is the fact that Ben, who seemed to otherwise have a good head on his shoulders, surrendered himself to this person he thought loved him equally as much but turned out to be more "venomous" than the snakes he nurtured and sold....

Our nation's judicial system is broken 😢
Wow. The jury added insult to injury with that verdict. The family didn't get justice.
Perhaps without realizing it, your words uncovered an irony: jury and injury
One pathetic worthless jury.
