That depends on the fake. There are replicas that are nearly identical to the original. Fake frame with real lenses are the best cost effective route if you don't care about resale value. I don't because I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on sunglasses. $100 is the most I would pay for sunglasses

You got me on the philip screw by the nose bridge- thats a dead give away Its FAKE. Great video brother! I have the X metal XX and Im not selling. These glasses are now a collectors pieces so I am holding for a while.

I still hold a grudge towards Oakley for shutting down that US facility and moving all of their production to China. The x metal line is my all time favorite too bad Oakley is a garbage company.

Don't hold the grudge with Oakley (just hate the current parent company:) There is a company that has a monopoly on the majority of eyeware and will force you out of business or purchase you once they diluted your shares. It's called Luxottica. They tried this with Oakley, around 1996, and sales drop 33%. Oakley did not want to sell the company nor give them better pricing to sell at all their stores (Luxottica owns "LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Apex by Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision, Target Optical, Eyemed vision care plan, and Glasses.com). Oakley stayed American and stayed strong but yes, many years later, Luxottica ended overpaying for Oakley at a price of 2.1 billion in 2007. Although, how can you blame the founder, James Jannard, for not selling out. He went on to start the Red Digital Cinema company that brought us the high end film camera the Red One. At least Oakley is still based in California and does manufacture some product lines in America. It's really people overpaying for crap glasses from Luxuittica that has put them in this powerful position and Luxuttica made the choice to start fabricating some Oakley parts in overseas.

I had 2 pairs of real oakley juliets. Sold them years ago for a huge profit, wanted another pair, not paying $400 for a pair and bought a replica for $23. They are almost identical and fit and look amazing.
Original models are very expensive the bastard big boss (oakley) is not interested in release again juliet and penny. So... i think if one wants this model is better a copy. Where i can find copies from this models?

well, if you feel unconfortable with doing it, don't, my question is because I have a spare lenses, but the body of the original lenses broke beyond repair (the lenses were already in bad shape, that's why i got the replacement, also the body is weird, i think it has titanium coating because it won't solder), oakley no longer makes this model, so one alternative would be to buy a fake and install the new lenses.
I too would be interested in knowing if the "Official" lenses fit in the Fake frames. I may just buy some "Official" lenses and see if they Fit in the fake Frames. But i agree with Ga Za the screws of the fake ones may possibly not tighten up the same as when they was shipped to you, However you may be able to fix this issue with some "lock tight" on the screws before you put together the fake frames again.
I would prefer screws to rivets on the centerpieces anyway. those are the first things to become loose and ruin your pair of original oakleys if you wear them with any frequency period with screws you can just tighten them. You can't retighten rivets.
