I came back from summer camp an hour ago. My legs still hurt from all the walking 😒 but It was organized and fun at least👍 And yes I’m american. It was a camp I’ve been to multiple times. The councilors were campers at one point so they know how everything works and some of the campers come back the next year as councilors so it’s pretty cool. I understand not everyone likes camp, but I like camp. (Except for the food and beds😒)
My camp is for kids with cancer and when I started going I would cry that I would be away from my mom for a whole week. But at the end I would cry cuz I had to go home

In Russia there’s two types on summer camp: 1) you are at the sea. Everything is great, you can swim all day, have fun at the beach, food is great, nearby city is full of fun activities. 2) you are at the forest being eaten alive by mosquitos. There nothing to do expect for football or basketball. Food is somewhat better then prison food. Everyone around you is poor and depressed at age 12 😂
