It's odd how all the music is thoroughly American, yet the figures are clearly Europeans of the Victorian era... hussars (aka, lancers), to be exact. A spectacular creation by some inventive genius of long ago.
Real shame the place isn’t the same as it was before. None of the self playing instruments sound near as good as this today. And the ones that come close, are using synthesizers/audio samples instead of real instruments. I hope someday, the experience will be in proper working order. Still very visually interesting and the jank is kinda fun, but sad.

They aren't taking care of the equipment, barely any maintenance being done.

The manniqun playing the bell didn't work when I was there last month.
Part of the charm is the bits that get off-beat. Gives a "unique" playing of the song
