I've always felt bad for Giddy (blue headdress). Out of all the elephants, she's without a doubt the most friendly to Dumbo. When she teased Dumbo, it seemed that she was just being childish and naive instead of being outright malicious. She sounds genuinely concerned when Mrs. Jumbo smacks her and genuinely wants to know what she did wrong. "What did I do? Did I say something?" Unfortunately, the other elephants encourage her behavior, saying she was in the right. Her childishness is further exemplified when she goes into hysterics in recounting how Mrs. Jumbo threw the Ringmaster around. The matriarch then reminds her that "one must always be a lady," to which she goes "oh, yes! you're right." In fact, it seems that Giddy just goes along with what the matriarch and the others say; we never outright hear *her* say anything bad about Dumbo, we just hear her verbally agreeing with the other elephants. Unfortunately, there's quite a bit of inconsistency with the elephants' dialogue (in the scene where the elephants are recovering from their injuries, an elephant with Giddy's voice laments about her tail, but we later see another elephant with Giddy's voice eagerly ask Catty how Dumbo was punished for his role in the big top disaster.) Point is, I personally say Giddy was just caught up in everything. I wonder if she would've tried to express more kindness to Dumbo if she had the chance.

Did anyone else know that Dorothy Scott voiced Giddy? She also voiced Fraidy Cat (Little Black Kitty who fears EVERYTHING) from the 1937 Serial series called The Cinnamon Bear, and Giddy sounds just like Fraidy Cat, Giddys voice just isn't as pathetic or soft sounding as Fraidy Cat's
My favorite of the four other elephants is Prissy and I least still like Giddy's design and colors, even though Prissy still also picked on Dumbo. Prissy still reminds me of some other nice characters unlike most other mean characters and she and the other circus elephants seem like elephant versions of some of the G1 unicorn ponies, atleast Prissy is Button, Giddy is Fizzy, and Catty is Galaxy.
I at first thought that the Elephant Matriarch was a male elephant when I was a little kid, who atleast seem more masculine than the other tree other elephants.
Why it look like there are more other elephant characters than the four other known elephants Matriach, Giddy, Prissy and Catty who at least seem more like elephant background characterst in the most scenes if there aren't more than four other elephants than Matriarch, Giddy, Prissy and Catty?
If I have to pick one of my favorite elephants, I pick Giddy as my #1 cause I love not only her giddiness but I love her blue circus clothing as blue is my favorite color.💙

Not at all, she’s just basically like a high school mean girl just hating someone just because they are different than her and constantly playing victim and blaming others for her misfortunes
But she acts as the emperor of all elephants like the whole race is at her discretion. She feels pride for the whole species when another elephant has a baby, feels shame for another elephant’s disgrace, and is able to denounce a fellow elephant.
@@WULDORI she just feels entitled and is only acting that way toward that circus’s elephants and has pride in her job and wants it to succeed. The Elephants are probably regarded some of the circus best and if one of them causes shame they make it clown since it’s probably also the lowest on the performer ladder and probably lowest paid
