I had this game on my steam wishlist for quite a long time, but I decided against buying it because I get stumped by the easiest of puzzles. That and the combat made me think I'd be stuck on a boss halfway though the game. I'm used to games that allow me to grind up more levels and damage to beat bosses. The gameplay and artstyle are very nice looking. pleasing to the eye
Oh well, I guess I'm not watching this then lol. I absolutely adored the first Zelda, one of my all time favs, despite playing it almost 40 years after release. Something trying to emulate that sounds right up my alley.
You will very likely adore the game. Enjoying that original style of Zelda was the only real piece that was missing for me. Let me know what you think of it after you eventually play it!
Another great video Kaldini! I played this on Gamepass and was pleasantly surprised at first but it quickly lost its charm for me. A similar game to this that I did enjoy was Hob. Sadly the developer went under so the game has never received any QOL or performance updates (it desperately needs them!)
I've watched the Joseph Anderson video on Hob and it looked right up my alley but the glitches and issues made me hesitant to pull the trigger. It looks like it has an amazing concept with the piecing the world back together puzzles.
I own all three of those you listed because others have also suggested that they'd work for me 😂 I'm just not good enough and get bounced out after the first or second boss. Love the aesthetic of Bloodborne. I've enjoyed Hollow Knight, Death's Door, and Hyper Light Drifter, but just can't get into the real Souls games for some reason
if it's a skill issue then just overcome it - it's what EVERYONE else did and it's absolutely worth the journey. once you learn it they're really not that hard man, beating the first boss in DS3 is comparable to trying to beat hornet 1 with no spell upgrade in Hollow Knight. Hard yes but eventually you'll get stronger in ur character & skills. Dark souls 3 took me 78hours first playthru, my second took 12.@@kaldini
@@spaceinvader4565 I just don't think they are a series for me. Many of the fan personalities about the series and people who can't/don't play them also really put me off (not directed at you).
@@spaceinvader4565 Weirdly enough I actually really enjoy watching critiques and analysis videos about Fromsoft games. I don't believe the games are for me personally (at least right now) but there's something almost magnetic listening to knowledgeable people talk the series. Bit of a contradiction there as well for me because those videos would obviously be made by fans but 🤷♂️ Edit: you'd recommend Sekiro though as the one to push through if I'm going to give it another shot?

It has a lot of accessibility options to help bridge you past combat problems.
