Jazz Violin Transcription - Stuff Smith - Undecided

For my third jazz violin transcription video, I chose to play a solo by the hardest swinging violinist of all time, and one of my personal favorites : Stuff Smith ! His 1960 solo on Undecided is just swinging perfection. As always I tried my best to make the most accurate possible transcription. The video contains also an introduction to the style of Stuff Smith.

@@GabrielBismut Wondering if you do the same type of analysis for fiddle tunes? There's a variation of Billy in the Lowground done by Scotty Stoneman I've been working on for the past 3 months or so. He puts a lot of embellishments in his recordings.

Formidable Gabriel, je me tâte à te téléphoner ( j'ai vu ton numéro sur ton site) ces derniers jours car j'aimerais vraiment m'initier au Gypsy Jazz afin d'assimiler le mieux possible le concept du swing (techniquement et musicalement parlant), je pense que je franchirais le pas sous peu, d'autant plus que j'habite dans le 94 donc pas trop loin de Paris !😁 Franchement, t'as vraiment un jeu extraordinaire. 👌
( Il faut savoir que lorsque j'ai commencé le violon y a 2 ans et demi, c'était parce que j'écoutais énormément de manouche, comble de l'ironie, j'ai décidé de m'y intéresser réellement, techniquement parlant, que très récemment 😁)
