Have you ever watched trout being caught underwater ? Lay on duckboard on boat. First few metres of hook up the trout spew up their stomach contents trying to get rid of what they have eaten. So if you drift or anchor they are burlying up the area your fishing watches a pro line fisher do it. He would hook fish only pull them up few meters then slow down let them spew everything out. Then pull them up. All the spew up gut matter makes a feeding frenzy just of the bottom , give it a try it’s worked for me

Just a quick queation Mr Bolman when you are drift fishing with plastics are you casting fwd or behind the drifting boat in other words where you are drifting to or what you have drifted over ???,Allways enjoy your show the metherds and im lesning lots.

Hey bud, always set up drift with enough time to get your lure to the bottom before you drift onto the ground you want to fish. Most cases the boat will be drifting faster than the lure so you cast towards where you are drifting, but in this video it was the opposite so we had to cast back behind the drift. It was mostly because we had the wind blowing the opposite direction to the tide. You can see if your lure is drifting faster or slower than your boat just by dropping it right next to the boat. 👍🏼
