Ahhhh…the M5 motorway bridge. Home to the iconic three eyed fish from Simpsons 😂😂
Good sesh
Great Vlog Mick , good to keep the folks happy 👌👊
Thanks martin! Ill definitely be doing a few more of these, and hopefully a better bag of fish maybe somewhere off a beach
My oldies are the exact same everytime i go fishing and come back with nothing they always say the same thing "You catch fish but never bring them home are you sure you even caught anything? 🤣
😂😂 💯
Wow look at all the natural oysters beautiful oh yeah that's a decent feed their yum yum. ❤
i wouldn't eat oysters from botany bay.
None of the Sydney oysters are safe to eat, just too much chemical run off and feral matter in the water. Even carefully controlled oyster beds in the Brooklyn area keep getting infected.
People who eat oysters just waste good bait
Bloody oath mate, especially if you have any internal parasites. The chemicals in the oysters will clean them out real quick.
Ripper video Mick! Would love to see you do a trip up to Lake Macquarie and fish with Crebo.
Thanks ian! For sure i gotta make a trip
Great vid. My Father in law is an old school Greek fisherman and he’s horrified everytime he finds out I’ve caught and released! 😂😂😂
Hahaha its common!
I was just walking past the hockey fields this morning and saw someone in a Lynx this morning heading towards that bridge and i thought that's probably Mick and within the same you post the video - good effort.
Thanks mate! Was a beautiful morning
Cracking video mick ! 🎣🎣
Thanks brayden!
Nice bro I fished those channel for years never hooked up to anything legal
Nice sesh cuzzy keep the oldies happy mate.
Go get some offshore to keep em quiet for a few months with a few bigger model fish is what I do for my catch and release sanity 😂 Make sure you restock them before they are out of the fish though!
Hahah 100 percent, offshore would be cleaner also 👌🏼 they love a good fried bream though 😂
Vid just popped up going to watch it now!
🙏🏼
God bless you Mick, send it why don’t ya cobber
Can be such a hot and cold spot to fish, but man when it turns on it's 🔥
90% off most of the times 😂 i agree
Good Vid Byron. Bait junkie grub or a Gulp crabby.
Byron 😂 wrong youtube channel, i use baitjunkies dont usually use crabbys but i know they work well too
Byron suits you 😅
yeah but you cant eat any fish from there . look at the DPI warnings
mick is a pro fisherman now
Hahaah not even close!
Get some crocs for the wet feet fishing, you'll love them
like always Awesome session bro. just wondering if this is an old video or a recent one taken during this winter chill ? it has been a challenge to catch fish in this winter for a Lure fisho like myself
Hey tom, its a recent winter video
This session was a tough one , i edit my videos so you dont really see boring bits, but it took a while for these bream to turn on
@@flickwithmick Legend. Nice one mate. 👍
i fish that spot fairly often caught my PB flattie there 66cm
Great stuff mate!
Thanks patrick!
Just popped up FWMF . Im on it now . 👍✔🎣
Lessgooo!
@@flickwithmick another great video, how many turns do you use on your leader uni knot.?
@@johnloudon2396 hey john, from 6-8lb I usually turn 7-8 times
How far up the Cooks would you draw the line at eating the fish they recommend everyone not to?
Not for me to say, i would definitely say refer to the DPI instead of someone’s opinion for sure 👍
Personally, i would draw the line at the bridge i fished with is near kymeegh boat ramp, anything past there i wouldn’t suggest personally keeping 3 bream was a one off for this video, I wouldnt consistently keep fish from the river on a everyday basis
great vid man. but what lures did you use
Thanks mate! Cranka crab in small and large, hurricane soft plastics, pro lure blades
If you look close you can see the odd oyster
Where did you get that kayak from? Please link because I want one
Hunter Water sports 👌🏼
Even if you catch and realise you should always take a couple for them. 👍
Awesome vid bro what rod specs is that Infeet one
Thanks man, ill throw the specs soon 👌🏼
what do you click on your camera after you hook a fish?
Hindsight option 👌🏼
FYI for anyone intending on fishing Cooks river. Don’t keep or consume anything you catch

Most polluted water in Sydney
Shellfish like oysters and Mussels are filter feeders, if the water was realy bad that'd be the first things to die
@@trueaussieray9093The water isn’t at toxic levels hence why oysters fish are still alive. Organisms will still accumulate pollution, heavy metals, chems etc though.
There are big signs all over at cooks river saying do not eat the oyster because they are toxic due to pollution and factory run off
Fish travel. They dnt have addresses. If a fish travelled from cronulla waters to cooks river. Does it automatically become polluted? What about a fish from the cooks caught at cronulla? Thats not a polluted fish right?
@@johnhoward997great point….

no way I don't eat fish from the Cooks
Bruh, I eat fish from the pier and I'm still alive 😂
Botany Bay - Cooks River- Important: Fish and shellfish caught in these waters should not be eaten due to high levels of pollutants being found in these waters. www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fishing/closures
My ancestors have been eating fish from here for decades, bitta pollution no problem 😅
@@someone_important_ good link, also good info right here on this link www.dpi.nsw.gov.au
Shellfish no , fish yes . I’m old enough to have eaten fish caught by commercial fishing when they were still in the bay so I more than likely already have eaten fish from there . Seriously if you eat them in moderation you are not going to drop dead , same goes for the parra river/ Sydney Harbour - I have eaten tons of fish from there over the first 20yrs,of my life and i ain’t dead yet , I haven’t grown new body parts and my heavy metals and dioxin levels are fine .
I love how the thumbnail says "toll" but he fishes under the 1% of the M5 that isn't a toll
and?
People sit ouside next the road breathing toxic fumes and smoking cigarettes. This is after the dity chefs have been sitting on buckets in the back lane smoking and picking their noses.
Eating the odd fish from botany bay not as great a health hazard.
Living in a large city is a health hazard.
It’s a bit different opposed to what they used to dump in the ocean, it was something I found interesting to read on and how certain toxic things will accumulate in a fish as it grows over time and limitations to how much the human body can handle of these over set periods of time, anything east of the harbour bridge definitely needs to be consumed somewhat sparingly over a month west should only be caught for sport at this stage
@@gungetchaclean as a whistle and baby's butt.
It’s not about water quality it’s about the dioxins from the sand/sediment caused by heavy industrial impact for a long time not saying don’t eat any if just do it in moderation when it storms they stir back up fish filter the water and that’s where the problem comes from you could see the ocean floor 10m deep and still run the risk of eating unhealthy doses that lead to cancer or firing blanks
@@gungetcha I don't eat fish or do fishing lol. Just watch various stuff on YT.
I rest my case.......
The air, the water ,and the chef's picking their noses are only the tip of iceberg.
You can have your already polluted city and life style.
I will stay in NW Tasmania where we breath, don't need bottled water and eat fish.
Smoking is unhealthy. Getting smoked by fish is ok.
It is interesting that people call those fish "brim" when they are actually "BREAM"
shut uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup
Why cant you pronounce the name of the fish properly . It is spelt B.R.E.A.M so how do you get brim from that.
I thought it was Brim all along 🤦🏼♂️
Video is set in Australia and narrated by an Australian who is using the Australian pronunciation.......! 🤔🙂🤫
Well you bomb and tomb. Are they pronounced the same?we pronounce our way you pronounce your way.
Sorry bout it, I'll say it how I want and that's like 'brim'. And for the record it's pronounced bred not bread if you're saying bream like reem so stfu 😆😁
The best way to show your arrogance and intolerance is to think your way of speaking is the only way.
Take a look beyond your little village, there's a huge world out there.
How boring would that be if they all sounded like you
When u use soft plastics dude I use em jig em give it a couple winds but then it takes 10 second s to sink cause when it sinks it counterweights as it sinks cause I make my line straight or should I be jigging it and letting it sink as I take slack n out so it sinks faster it just seems u guys move it more than me as I'm waiting for it to sink for a while I hope u understand what imean by counterleving if it sinks straight down it gets down quick n if Ur lines tight when it sinks it does on a diagonal and takes longer which teqnique do n I use sorry for the crazy question dude
Hey
Dont be sorry, i guess it depends on what fish you are targeting.. may need to move it faster or slower depending on the species.
Best thing to do is try to find videos on different targeted fish and see how soft plastics are worked differently example being bream fishing or flathead fishing so on and so on
I feel sorry for people who live in Sydney that place is dirty and disgusting
this is right next to the airport, most of the syndey waterways are not like this
Who tf do you think you are
Sorry man not a fan of Sydney you'll find a lot of Australians have similar opinions of that crowded stinky place
@@benp1201 from someone like you who lives in fucking wagga wagga
@@athansadek5439mate, we will keep the cow poo in our paddocks, if you keep your bullshit in the city. Open pastures any day. People ain't meant to live like that, water shouldn't look like that!!!
Putrid
Sorry mate but bream fishing is aids. I'm done!
Why the f### do you keep changing your rod from your left to your right hand when you're bringing in a fish ???
You need to watch a Rex Hunt ep. The only Aussie fisho that travelled overseas and learnt how to fish properly, sadly could not transfer that skill to the rest of Oz fishos 🤷♂️
I love rex hunt
how? use 15lb line (min)
mate its a lite setup u silly
