I recently saw his documentary "Val". His son narrates for him as he lost his voice due to throat cancer. He describes his experience as batman and talks about his mother who has passed. He touched my heart when he showed his grief over her loss. Currently he is in his early 60s and the battle with cancer has changed his appearance. However, I feel he is more beautiful than ever and not because of physical looks. His true life story and talent shows through in his documentary. I hope he continues to heal and share his talent & art with the world. Awesome, amazing artist!❤
Yes I absolutely loved that documentary and I think everyone should check it out. His son sounds very much like him…which he should after all he is his son…but yes very interesting how Val hated playing Batman because he could not hear or move his head at all in the suit.

Val's Batman will always have a special place in my heart. Batman forever was my first Batman movie, not a very great film, but it was fun and underrated 90's movie.
@@Buckeye7Gaming 👍. I'd put it at Pretty Good overall. It has some great highs but too many flaws (Not stuff like "Oh bad casting!" or "Why no Michael Keaton???") that just don't have it up there with Great for me. Man... I kinda sound like one of *those* people now. Yikes
Amazing actor, love tombstone and top gun, I’m a pretty big comic fan and can say if he was given a script as good as bale he would’ve been the greatest and most comic accurate Batman ever. Can’t wait to see Mr Kilmer in top gun 2.

Because of Batman this guy became my favorite actor for a few years. I just had to watch everything with him in it, the saint, tombstone even the weird island of the dr. Morehu or whatever it was.
Hollywood really came down hard on Val, or his Batman would be held in way higher regard, because when it came out it was a hit with audiences. It was a very fun version, and the audiences in the theater had a blast with it.
@@frankesposito2182 she said he went off after birth of their son and didn't come back, I don't believe he was there for his son's birth_ that's why he's very antsy here while been asked about his son_ he didn't even know the child's name, according to his wife she lost her home after he went and had to fight him in court for new home for her and the two kids! Val is one of the best actors in Hollyweird. I've never been a Batman fan but I'm sure he did it well. I loved in a movie where he played a FBI agent investigating a murder at a Indian reservation. It was great and he was awesome in it. Wish I could remember the name of the movie.

Being Bruce Wayne was the best role, romantic and cute character while dating dr chase meridian. Keaton role was more batman, rough and badass batman, Bruce was stiffly and ignorant too vicky vale. That's my opinion with the actor's roles.

Check out the deleted scenes from Batman Forever to see how much range he had a chance to explore the character, and how the film could've gone in a more somber direction.
Majority of those Deleted Scenes are cool. I really don't get why WB hasn't gone through with doing Schumacher's Directors Cut. It would have given Batman Forever and overall better reputation, gotten more money, and would let people be like "Oh hey, Schumacher actually isn't a bad director and Val isn't a terrible Batman even though he's ripped from Batman: The Animated Series". It's honestly shocking how many people have not seen a Schumacher Film... #ReleaseTheSchumacherCut
U can actually feel the tension its was a hard interview with val kilmer in that time he still had the iceman altitude so it harder to deal with with but of course a great actor
He has a dry sense of humor and was very private so I think interviews made him feel uncomfortable. I thought it came off as quite funny. Jay Leno on the other hand was never funny.
He was good in a pinch for Joel Schumacher. Although he had a phenomenal supporting cast to help shoulder the load. To bad the movie went cookie cutter and ruined it for the die hard comic book junkies.
Least the portrayal of Batman is ripped from B:TAS and Val gave one of the better performances of the film (None really are bad. All of them good performances, just some are the wrong ones). Also Michael Gough ad Alfred and Chris O'Donnell as Dick was awesome #ReleaseTheSchumacherCut
While Batman 89 is my favorite of the Burton/Schumacher films, I think Batman Forever is technically the best Batman movie of the bunch. I think it ticks the most boxes of what you'd expect to see in a Batman movie. The only thing that really brings it down is how campy Riddler and Two-Face are. All the Bruce/Batman stuff is really good, though. They even did a pretty good job introducing Robin. It's a shame Kilmer didn't come back for another. Suppose it's a good thing considering what Batman and Robin became, but there was a lot of untapped potential there had things been different.
