    I loved my Pro Flo XT. It cleared the stock hood on my 2010 Camaro and I could mod my passenger wiper to clear the back. I'd argue that it may pick a few up by opening the plenum up to the bigger TB size like I did mine.

    Amazing how those manifolds practically overlap despite having some pretty major looking differences.

    Hey Richard, you should grab Brian's data on his LS3 Block w/ GenV Heads swap project, as he doesn't really go into detail, as you would, other than the broad strokes of the final data. It's pretty impressive what an LT1/L86 Head can do on an LS3 (with a matching camshaft ofcourse, for the change in valvetrain/valve locations).

    The only downside to the ProFlo is it does not come apart for porting, it costs less than a Holley HiRam.

    In all the manifolds you've done for the rec port heads, I haven't seen any from LoKar's LS Classic line.
    I have an LS 427 from Blueprint that's going into a 59 Vette replica. It would be nice to change out the LS3 manifold to make the engine compartment look better.
    From what I see with their manifolds, it looks like I could expect similar results.

    You need to go with a shorter runner intake on that thing. A sniper or L.O.D. all that cam is gonna want to run to 8k rpm or more.

    I'd love to see this setup run again using truck cams, like the Truck Norris SS2 & Stage 4 cams, along with those 2 intake manifold, TBSS & the LSXR/T. Some of us wouldn't mind having a big ci engine in our truck or SUV.
    Ever think about running newer LT heads on the LQ4/LS3 engines?

    Great review! I still wonder, wouldn't better average torque equal to better acceleration, if we eliminate issues such as tire slipping and such?

    • @exploranator
      @exploranator ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The average POWER during the RPM range you use between shifts will determine your acceleration.
      Being able to tailor your RPM range usage is part of why people like manual transmissions, or an automatic they can shift manually. By shifting from later in the RPM band, you can keep the power higher for the higher-RPM power motor.
      But, really, the vast majority of your driving is not doing that. Even the racing team of Porsche did that with the famous "Panzer" flat 12 motor, using a broad, flat torque curve instead of a peakier curve that resulted in 400 more top-end horsepower. (twin turbos.)

    Low voltage can effect injector behavior. So curious how the AFR’s were on the proflow compared to the other runs.

    • @ChurchAutoTest
