Absolutely beautiful and heartfelt tribute. They all take a little piece of our heart with them when they pass, but they also leave a little bit of theirs with us. Fly high and free, Little Bob 💔

Wow, Bart. Phenomenal tribute video. Wish I had the chance to know him/her, but in a 'small' way I feel like I did after taking this in. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thanks a lot for the beautiful tribute of this little life. So many in the wild have been born and lost without any human notice, so good to have one little’s memory to be cherished indeed.

Thank you so much for such a loving tribute to one who left us too soon. We'll never forget this little one with wings up high above us now! I couldn't view all until today. I appreciate your exceptional film and musical score, Bart.

This osprey nest is far too heartbreaking for me. Every season one or two little ones are beaten and starved to death 😓. Can't watch this.

Thank you for this. Do they know what or why he didn't make it?

In the end it was lack of food and water. Not enough at the most needed moment and #1 too aggressive at feeding time.

Momma allowed a flipping fish to beat her chicks. This Momma still has much to learn.

Are you serious? With all the things you see happening on the nest.. a flopping fish makes her a bad mum? I think you have much to learn about Ospreys then

3 was ignored by momma at feeding time. She has a glutton to satisfy; which has proven to never be satisfied. RIP 3

It is just survival for the fittest, please no need to criticise a passed little bird. It supposed to got his food and water supply through the fish feeding, if it was not fierce enough to grab the food. Everything has already shown that the food would naturally go to the older siblings. It is not the mother’s faults either, she has carried out her duty to feed. Bart’s video showed that alright indeed. Just part of the nature of the little chick not able to survive on that hot day under the grilling of the sun without enough food and water inside it’s little body. 😢 it is not any gluttony issue of this little one. The other two chicks ate a lot so they survived and we should all be thankful anyway.

Not the mother's or siblings' fault. For birds of prey, meal times are competition between nestlings. The mother doesn't purposely feed or ignore, they just put the food out there and the first mouth there gets it. Regardless of age, if they aren't aggressive to eat for reasons of age or size or health, they don't live. Granted, the youngest often faces the roughest road, but many succeed all the time. This one didn't.
