Excellent sacrifice of the exchange in or order to give the queen access to the king. Pinkamena is amazing with her queen in the final moves of many chess games.
Black blundered and took the rook. Instead King g7 was much better. But also note that Qd8 instead of Rf7 was winning before that. So the girl was simply lucky to save her bad position!
@@VanSh2300 Against best play even Magnus Carlson loses. It is only through opponent errors that anyone can win. It's why humans don't let chess engines compete for the world title. In Blitz, players make mistakes a lot. It is when time is short when Pinkamena's mind makes usually good choices and she does win a lot of games where her opponent had a better position, often also having a higher rating than hers. She is not yet a teenager and I am sure she will improve with time. All games end with a W, L, or D, and this one was a W for Pinkamena. To win you have to be on top at the end, no matter how well you might or might not have played before the end. Many a win has been fumbled away after playing a good opening and middle game. Perhaps I should amend my original comment to say that she offered the exchange sacrifice, and it was accepted.
@@VanSh2300 I should point out that with 1. ... Kg7 2. Qg8+ Kh6 3. Qf8+ Kg5 4. Qe7 Kh6 5. Rh8 mate. It wasn't a blunder to take the Rook. By taking the rook it was only a mate in 6 rather than a mate in 4. Either way he loses after she offers the exchange sacrifice.
@@rokualvin6428, you are right about the Kg7 - the position was lost anyways at that moment. As for the rest, the girl played thoughtlessly (sorry) and got her lucky chance at the end. And I should note that it is not about this or that move and the engine versus a human. It was about her strategic decisions, exchanges, etc. such as leaving herself a bad white bishop and exchanging the other one. On opposite, black played better strategical, but missed the moment when they insisted to keep the black queen on the king flank. There was no good chance to enforce the further attack there and was time to switch for another flank. Both parties had enough time at that very moment. So it was not about the time but about general understanding. Say, black made the hg move prematurely: without proper preparation. Thanks for mentioning the Kg7 comment. It did not help because black has left only one bishop to protect their king. And it was a strategic mistake too. You may take a look at the moves from that point of view.
@@VanSh2300 I agree that Pinkamena needs work on her opening and middle game. She too often ends up with an inferior position going into the end game. Luck or jumping on opportunities at the end the fact is that she has a very sharp mind for those tricky complex positions at the end of the game. Her brain seems to switch on to overdrive at the end. I find that impressive. However, her early game work will hold her back from climbing to her full potential for the entire game. I think she'll get there. I hope so anyway. 🙂
Such an enjoyable example of Miss Pinka’s capabilities. Fun to watch!
Bravo Pinkamena!!
Estoy feliz de ser parte de CFN family y amigos.
Kudos to Suslov for a well played game in a losing effort. Much, much higher than your 1498 rating.
Great game, Pinkamena.
Your opponent was playing great, too.
I'll watch it again
